How far along are you? 27weeks 5days

How did your appointment go overall? I had to find ally do my glucose test. I failed. I have to go do the 3 hour test on Friday. Found out one of my doctor's left so now I see one doctor and one midwife and a group of doctors that I don't know will be in a rotation to deliver all babies from my doctors office. Mine will also be in the rotation but still kinda weird.

    Any ultrasound or doppler? Doppler

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? My sharp knife like pain is round ligament pain.

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
It's been like 10 years since I've been to a concert but we use to go to alive fest. It's a Christian music festival with like 30 different banks and groups.

How did your appointment go overall?
It was okay. We waited a very long time to be seen and it didn't last long at all, so I was annoyed.
    Any ultrasound or doppler?
Doppler- HB was normal for him at 155
Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
we talked about my anemia results from last time and how to take care of that. She also ordered a growth scan, since I'm still measuring 3 weeks ahead. I'm not too mad, since we can try again to get a face shot- he was too shy the other 2 times ;)
For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
we've seen Zac Brown Band 5 times now, and they are always so good. It's always a fun time.

Edit- oops, the first question didn't copy. I'm 30+3 today.

How did your appointment go overall?
Boring appt.  Dr was running late and I was first appointment so mostly waiting around.   Weight was ok, more than I wanted to gain but considering I had people bringing us food and desserts last week when we lost my grandma and my two three course meals for restaurant week, I was happy gain wasn't more than 3 lbs.  I'm hoping to hold myself to .5 pounds per week the next 9 weeks and finish at at 37.5 lb gain (exactly what I gained with DS).  I'm at 33 lbs now

it cut the rest of my post off when I hit submit and I'm too lazy to type it out again.

How did your appointment go overall?
I went good. But I did break down crying because of the pelvic pain I have. I also had my glucose test, so I am anxiously waiting those results.

    Any ultrasound or doppler?
    Doppler- HB 130-140

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
She believes my pelvic pain is pubis symphysis diastastis and is sending me to a specialist. But what sucks is that their first opening isn't until the 31st

How did your appointment go overall?
Overall, not so bad. As usual the wait was longer than actual Dr. Time. She answered all my questions though, so I'm satisfied.

    Any ultrasound or doppler?
None scheduled. Dr said maybe after 37 weeks. If Peanut stays put that long.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
    She answered all my questions.

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
I'm super lame and have never been to a concert.

  • Question for you ladies.... My last six weeks i will be going to the dr twice a week, instead of the usual once a week. Dr, says its because I started out as a big person. To the best of my understanding  one appointment was a weekly NST and one appointment was a weekly regular appointment. Any of you having twice a week appointments for the last.6 weeks?

    30 weeks

How did your appointment go overall?
So far so good.  I had my appointment at 1:30PM today.  The doctor said I was not anemic, but she wanted me to up my iron intake or take a supplement 2-3x a week.  She also said "your weight gain is right on track... the only time was when you went from June to July and gained 8 lbs over that span.  That's terrifying" She actually used the word TERRIFYING.  wtf doc?

But also, I PASSED my glucose tolerance test!  Hurray!

    Any ultrasound or doppler?
    Doppler

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
I really didn't have any...except that I'd be switching insurances to Kaiser and therefore switching doctors.  She said I could continue with her but would have to jump through hoops of "continuity of care" which I really don't wanna do.  I'll just switch.

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
    Beyonce.  For sure.

  • @annabenanna... Your doctor stresses me and she's not even my doc lol... And yay for passing your GD test!!!!
  • @bnsmith85 I feel weird leaving this here since I'm not contributing to the thread itself, but my mom has always said nsync was one of her favorite concerts. She took me and some of my friends when we were 13. She says it's because it was actually 'a show' as opposed to just someone singing.
I loved it too, but I was 13 and obsessed. I also loved seeing Billy Joel (my fav) because his songs sound the same live as they do on CDs. No auto tune, no gimmicky crap. Just a man and a piano.
  • @bnsmith85 @maf9866 +1 for NSYNC!! I saw them twice and they both top my concert experiences! It helps I was in love with them, but the shows were amazing!!

I'm also a huge Madonna fan - i know she has her critics, but holy crap can that woman put on a show! Plus, I wish my body looked as good now as she does at 57....
  • @mrskratt I'm sorry your pelvic pain is so bad, I was at that point a few months ago and physical therapy has helped so much. I am finally feeling back to normal. FX you get some relief soon!

@annabenanna I am stressed just hearing what your doctor said, that is terrible! Yay for passing your GT test though!

    How far along are you?
    27+3

How did your appointment go overall? Went really well, and I passed by glucose test!!! Everything has been going smoothly recently, and she is still measuring right on track.

    Any ultrasound or doppler?
    Doppler

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Didn't really have any questions, but she was on board with my request to do delayed cord clamping when I brought it up, so that made me feel good.

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too? This is probably a tie for me between either The Rolling Stones, or Billy Joel and Elton John together in concert. Billy Joel and Elton John sharing a stage was absolutely amazing, and Mick Jagger still has some great moves.
  • How far along? 30w 2d

How did the appointment go? (Oops kind answered everything in one chunk) - good it was an ultrasound for growth due to my 2 vessel umbilical cord.  The tech didn't tell me how much he weighs but he's looking chunky so I'm going to take that as a good sign.  Also my mom got to come along today and see him for the first time (besides pictures).  We got to see him practicing breathing.

For fun - umm I'd have to say Tragically Hip was most memorable followed by Eminem/Limp Biskuit joint concert

@AshleyGemini24 I'm doing weekly visits from 32 weeks on, but it's to monitor for IUGR due to uteroplacental insufficiency. I don't have it, but they are worried I might because I'm AMA. They are concerned that my uterine blood vessels can't sustain a placenta for the length of the pregnancy. There is not a shred of medical proof supporting this nonsense, according to my research. Plus, baby is measuring a week plus ahead.

How far along are you?  31 weeks

How did your appointment go overall? Okay, I guess. I found out they want to see me weekly from here on out for visits and weekly ultrasounds. WTF, I'm old (40), not high-risk. I feel they are being excessive, and I don't want to do it. Hubby wants me to, though.

Any ultrasound or doppler? Just fetal Doppler. HR was 130.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? Sort of. We talked about our concern getting a med-free, low intervention birth at a hospital with one of the highest cesarean rates in the county. The doctor basically pooh-poohed our concerns. Then my hubby decided to ask the OB about a home birth. SMH.  It did not go well.

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
I've seen Cake a bunch of times. They do a good show.

  • @maf9866 - ah! I'd LOVE to see Billy Joel.

Funny fun fact that semi-relates... I went on a a few dates with a guy in college named Bill Johel. Bahahaha. Stopped dating him so I could start dating DH  <3
  • I have been super bummed the last few times Billy Joel has been in the area because it either sells out super fast or is like $200 per ticket. Bummer!

Haha that is too funny! I hope he was ok with the name Billy because I don't think I could make my mouth call him anything but that!
  • @emt87 yay congrats on passing the Glucose Test! :)

Also @bnsmith85, so funny about the guy you dated named Bill Johel! :)
  • I don't/didn't have an appointment this week, but just wanted to say to that Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson put on some of the greatest, most theatrical shows I've seen without it being over the top.
If you're into over the top, I couldn't recommend GWAR enough, since they are allegedly going to continue touring.
  • How far along are you? 28 weeks

How did your appointment go overall? Good overall, I had 3 separate appointments this week- 3 hour glucose tolerance test, growth ultrasound, and regular appointment

Any ultrasound or doppler? Growth scan Wednesday, baby looks good and is measuring right on track! Doppler at my appointment today.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
Yes, I was diagnosed with GD so that's a bummer.

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
Kenny Chesney and Gretchen Wilson opened for him

DH said the same about Marilyn Manson. He goes to this huge rock/metal-ish weekend long concert/camp out/party/event thing every year called Carolina Rebellion and MM was there last year. Said he was amazing.

ETA- I think Rob Zombie was there last year too, which he also loves.
  • I saw them both together on Halloween in Dallas in 2012, and I was just in awe. LOVED IT.

It really was! My mind started racing with everything I have to do when school starts before he's born. The tech said they likely won't officially change the date, but don't be surprised if he has a September birthday. Ahh!

Thanks @lmnobaby and @bnsmith85! I'm in love with the cheeks :) I made it my lock screen and I can't stop staring at him :)
  • I didn't have an appointment this week but just wanted to chime in! Bully Joel is awesome in concert! I saw him last year at Fenway- I won tickets.

It it was a great show!

How did your appointment go overall?
Well! My blood pressure is quite low (90/60) and I haven't gained any weight in 4 weeks, but I solved both of those problems by getting a box of 6 mini donuts at lunch... Cervix is holding steady but she's keeping me on half time at work. Fundal height is already at my ribs, which is apparently ahead of schedule so I'll have a growth scan at my next appointment.

    Any ultrasound or doppler?
Ultrasound to measure cervix, doppler during CTG (HR 130-150)

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
I really didn't have any questions

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
This may be the most hypocritical thing I've ever said, but DEFINITELY Creation (a Christian music festival). I went at least 5 times.

How did your appointment go overall? Better than usual because (miracle of miracles) my doctor didn't say a word about my weight. I've gained 2 pounds since my last appointment 3 weeks ago, but apparently that wasn't cause for concern. Whew! The rest was okay. I got the RhoGAM shot and that was no fun, but I got to see Reagan, so that took my mind off the shot.

Any ultrasound or doppler? Yep, portable u/s. She's completely head down and will most likely stay that way (yay!) and the doctor said everything looked great!

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had? She did. I was concerned about the amount of pelvic pressure I have after workouts or long walks (it feels like the baby is literally going to fall out), but she said that was normal, especially with her being head down already.

For Fun: Can't remember if anyone has asked this - what's your favorite concert you've ever been too?
It's a toss up between Weezer (summer of 2011) and Relient K ("MmHmm" 10th anniversary tour, fall of 2014). Both were EPIC. Oh and Ray Lamontagne (2010) was pretty freaking awesome, too.

31 weeks based on babies growth; 30+1 based on IVF transfer date.

How did your appointment go overall?
It didn't go as planned. It was just a growth scan, but there are issues. Babies apparently have too much fluid and Baby B has almost double what A has. They gave me a steroid shot, monitored me for an hour, and said hopefully we see you for a return scan in 4 weeks. I have monitoring once a week starting next Thursday and I get another shot tomorrow.

    Any ultrasound or doppler?
    Ultrasound.

Did your doctor or midwife answer any questions or concerns you had?
I saw the huge difference in the fluid levels during the scan and asked after, she said there isn't any reason it just happens sometimes.
