Or rather, what my pregnant self is Wanting to eat!
1st - I've been wanting Taco Bell, specifically 2 beef supreme chalupas and a Mexican pizza since April!! I may have to cave soon
2nd - ran to grab a gallon of milk and detergent today and saw the Most amazing brownies.... fudge brownies with a cream cheese icing drizzled with chocolate sauce..... it was all I could do not to get them
Le sigh. It's so hard being good
Re: What my pregnant self is eating - 7.31
As an aside, if people made something particularly wonderful tasting this week, please share the recipe! It's cool reading this, but it's even better to be able to duplicate and enjoy
still craving fruits, sweets, I really want brownies now thanks @jennbaylor12! Is it too late to whip up a batch?!
My Wedding Bio!
We got dim sum today and it was heavenly - dumplings and scallions pancakes and sticky rice and egg custard tarts. Then I made couscous arugula salad for dinner and that hit the spot, too.
Last night I made box Mac and cheese (my most common indulgence this pregnancy) and doctored it up with peppers, tomatoes, and corn. DH wasn't around so I didn't have to share...
Of course, nothing compliments healthy food like the bowl of ice cream I'm eating every night

Other than that I'm on a dried mango kick and still loving some chocolate eat day.
Today we got hot, fresh donuts and they were amazing!!!
Mostly I've been wanting all the ice cream. Luckily it doesn't take much for me to be super full.
For lunch I made knock off red lobster chicken alfredo pasta. It was delicious. Even my parents loved it. It will certainly turn into a freezer casserole meal!
Also, about 2 months ago I made a bunch of freezer casseroles and we have been trying them out and writing down the ones we like and don't like, or afterthought modifications to make for next time. It's helpful knowing what DH will actually eat...no sense making ones for when the baby gets here if he won't eat it. It's also been helpful to figure out defrost/cooking times for these suckers...it's always longer than I predict.
I have wanted a calzone with all the ricotta today. Drove all over the area we were in looking for an Italian restaurant that would make one to no avail. Ended up getting a pizza slice at Whole Foods, but I'm still thinking about the calzone that never was.
Tomorrow I'm going to try to hop back on my healthy kick. I am going to make Engine Two vegan lasagna (https://engine2diet.com/recipe/raise-the-roof-sweet-potato-lasagna/). It was delicious pre-pregnancy but Bean has a lot of opinions about what tastes good these days. Fingers crossed, because that dish is quite an involved undertaking. Might do good for a freezer meal though once I figure out how to make those.
I love recipes! ❤️

We had spaghetti squash with chicken today. It was fine. What really hits the spot for me lately is fruit, salty things like pickles and green olives, and froyo. Oh and pizza rolls because I will never grow up.
