Frustrated because my body is SO ready for maternity leave but my bank account will never be. My manager keeps telling me to go when I'm ready or only do manicures if I have to, but I need that summer pedicure money. Badly!
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings?
I still can't even look at anything healthy. Most of my fruit and veggie servings come from V8 Splash. I am constantly craving strawberries tho.

I live in the Midwest. No special precautions here. I think if you live where it's been reported, take precautions. But some people panic when there's no need.
What size is baby? Acorn squash, or a big bottle of sriracha.
Upcoming appointments? Not for another 1.5 weeks. I'll have another ultrasound to check to see if my placenta is moving up, as well as get the Rhogam shot.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: My husband gave me an incredible massage last night!! I feel so relaxed still!!
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? Symptoms: Heartburn and minor nausea. The swelling is definitely pretty bad in my ankles and feet after sitting for my job all day long. When I get home and put my feet up, the swelling still goes back down mostly. Sciatic pain randomly, that can make it painful to walk. Aversions/Cravings: Not sure I'm really having any, but have to eat really small meals because my stomach is squished. Also found that ice cream helps heartburn. Yay!!

We are going to ask the doctor about this at our next appointment to see how concerned she is. We live in the northern part of the US, but my husband has a couple of trips planned to Florida. We are going to cancel his trips if she is at all concerned about it. But I also don't want to panic and overreact. It's tough to really make an informed decision on how serious this is when there is still so little information on the CDC website.

Upcoming appointments? Glucose test and monthly appt tomorrow morning. I think it goes to every other week after then
Rants/Raves/Questions? Just my usual complaint of crappy sleep. I fall asleep ok but once I get up once (to pee, which is several times a night), I can't go back to sleep. A lot of days I'm up for the day at 3 or 4am. DH snores so we haven't been sleeping together either. I actually made him go get sleep tested and turns out he has apnea. Hopefully this will help once addressed.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? I feel ok most of the time, just some insomnia issues (see above). I've gained a lot of weight IMO. My doc never says anything, and I didn't write it down from my 1st pregnancy to compare, but I'm pretty sure I'm above where I was. I can't stop eating junk though. For example, polishing off a toaster strudel for breakfast as I type this.

Meh, it was only a matter of time. I'm in PA so I'm not worried. We were in FL in April, so I'm glad this didn't happen then or I would have been freaking out more.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm having a hella ton of Braxton Hicks over here. All the websites warn you to call your doctor if you have more than four an hour. I'd be calling my doctor five or six times a day! I haven't called yet--I'm going to mention it to my OB on Monday. The problem is that I'm not a sit down and do nothing kind of person. I like to get up and move and do things, and we're finishing a kitchen remodel, so I've been pushing myself lately. I know I need to rest, I just can't make myself do it.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? IKEA cinnamon buns. I hate cinnamon buns. I've eaten my way through at least a package a week in the last month. WTF?

If I were living in Florida, I'd wear bug spray outdoors. I'm confident they'll spray the area with pesticides and contain the "outbreak" (I put that in quotes because it's not really outbreak proportions yet). If I were planning travel (my mother lives in Florida), I'd wear bug spray outdoors. Especially since I'm in the third trimester now and the effects of an infection of the fetus would be much less devastating, I wouldn't worry as much. But even if I was in the first or second trimesters, I still wouldn't go all alarmist. Just wear bug spray and take precautions!

Rants/Raves/Questions? We are almost done with the nursery!! Just have a few more decorating things to do. It's starting to feel real knowing that that will be her bedroom until she moves out of the house!
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? So much swelling. I don't even recognize my ankles by the end of the day. We went to our town pool last week and that really helped with the swelling!

Not too stressed about it as I live in upstate NY. I'll probably just be sure to use bug spray if I plan on being outside for a while. I know we'll be fine but it can't hurt. Still, not the best news to hear when you're pregnant.

For swollen ankles, try investing in a pair of Futuro Revitalizing support knee highs. They work wonders. They're "medium support", at 15-20 mmHg (I think). They run about $10 at CVS.

And thanks for the tip on the support knee highs! My mom had bought me compression tights but it's way too hot. I think I can deal with socks

Rants/Raves/Questions? Starting to get sciatic pain on my right side. Only hurts when first waking up for the first hour or so. Work has been extremely stressful this past week, and I've had to work all three days of my weekend. Racking up some comp time to use for upcoming appointments.
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? I've also been craving cinnamon buns, and I'm not much of a fan usually. I tried out four types of pillsbury variations of them to figure out which I liked best..haha

I live in Va, but I'm staying indoors primarily. This would have me concerned if I lived in Florida or was vacationing there, but again, I'd wear light colored clothing and bug spray. I probably wouldn't hang around a swamp or somewhere there is lots of stagnant water.

I live in the midwest... no special precautions.. we usually wear bug spray when out and camping, etc anyway.

Upcoming appointments? Ultrasound and MFM in almost 2 weeks, then I start twice weekly!

Excited we got a little bit of decorating done in the nursery this weekend even though there's a lot more to do...lol I might be able to contribute to the nursery thread by the time some of these babies are born. Really nervous that I now have 8 weeks max (getting induced at 39 or earlier)!
Symptoms/Aversions/Cravings? Awful carpal tunnel, hard to breathe, back and foot aches, indigestion if I eat too much at once. Still not doing chicken. Ice cream is always a good choice, and I thought I was over it but I really want a Cinnabon now!

I'm staying inside in a/c 99% of the time so not really. I loaded up on bug spray earlier, when the Zika news first started, but I guess it was overly optimistic thinking I'd be outside this summer!

Rants/Raves/Questions? We had a 3d/4d US on Friday and got to see a glimpse of what she looks like. She tends to keep her hands covering her face, so we didn't get as many good views as I have seen other people get, but she seems to have my nose
