SO: Decode your bump name

Spinoff of from a FFFC about bump names - decode your bump name for us. What does it mean, is there a story behind it, is it new or something you've used as a handle of awhile, etc?

Mine is a mixture of clarinet and cello. CE clar L inet LO. I made it up when I was 16 and played both. I liked it because it was symmetrical and personal. Didn't really think about not being able to pronounce it.

First name. Last name initial. Wedding date. I made my original account on The Knot so I was very wedding brained at the time.

It's my last name and first initial. Not very creative I know. I was in the throes of first trimester exhaustion when I signed up for The Bump. But I will say that you pronounce my last name str-I-lee. The middle letter is a capitol i not l.

Mine is one I started using in high school when I was taking a Spanish class. It means love (or worship) beauty. And by beauty I meant things more like beauty in nature as opposed to one's appearance. I just like pretty things I guess. Back in the days of AIM when having x's in a handle was really cool it was more "xxadorebellaxx" - definitely dropped those.

Apparently mine is the Turkish word for beast.

I am not Turkish, I don't speak Turkish, and I did not know this meaning when I picked my username, haha. I literally just picked a random sounding word because all the usernames I use on other public-facing sites are super obvious and tied to me personally and I didn't want anyone to know we were TTC.

In hindsight, I kind of like the name though even though it doesn't really feel like it fits me, but: meh.

Mine is a combination of my first and middle names and the year I was born. I have been using it for around 20 years and pretty sure I came up with it for my AIM screen name when I was a senior in HS. Kind of boring but I guess I wasn't all that creative back then!

Mine is initials and an arbitrary number that was assigned to me by a learning institution. I wasn't ever planning on being active on the community when I signed up 10 months ago! I *may* change it. We'll see.

When I was young and first moved to Colorado (and AIM was a legit thing) I wanted a cool username about skiing, which is my favorite thing to do.

I chose Wholesome Seeker as my name here because I had a bad experience with my last bump group.  After a while, after we moved to a FB group, I seemed prudish to most because I did NOT want to talk about the things they wanted to discuss because I felt it had nothing to do with being in a mommy group:

-Penis size

-Libidos

-Favorite sexual positions

-Length of time sex lasted

-Orgasm frequency

-most risky places they had sex

-number of people they gave slept with

-if they've had same-sex sex or foreplay before

-Nipple stimulation or not

-Foreplay opinions

-what porn they watch in the bedroom

-There was a huge string about how some people got all dressed up and fully body shaved/waxed to get ready to watch reality hooker shows as an extended pre foreplay date night

-there was a huge ongoing multiple string debate about LGBTQ and religious beliefs that ripped the group into half and created bullies and tiresome monologue soapbox posts

-talking about parenting was an afterthought

I had enough and bowed out.  My choice of Wholesome Seeker this time around seems to have backfired though because it appears some think it means I have to act like Mother Mary when that's not my intention at all, I'm not going to be some Pollyanna pendulum.  Haha.  Oh, well.

My name is from a Shrek movie where the gingerbread man says, Do you know the muffinman? I just thought it was so funny and the big dumb gingerbread man that died in a moat of steamed milk, saying "Beeeee Gooooood." And the 16th is my birthdate.

I was a rather large baby when I was born (9 lbs 10 oz) and my mother referred to me as her little moosette. She even made me an awesome moose costume for my first Halloween that got me second place in our town's costume contest, because who doesn't love a moose baby? The numbers are boring and just my wedding date.

Lady because I am the only girl in a household of boys and the letters are first initals of husband, myself, and some of my children.  Other children were born after the name was made so they are out of luck.

Mine is from a story my mom told my sister and I growing up about how she couldn't say my name correctly when she was really little so it came out "Shlecka." My name is Sara.

Mine was from when my 4yr old then 2yr old was talking to someone about what our names were, daddy he said his first name with our last name "wesley" and did the same for his brothers but when asked what MY "real" name was he said Mommy Wesley lol. So it was just funny and I liked the sound of it!
