breast pump question - spectra

Hello everyone.  I'm due in a few weeks with my first child and I have no clue what I'm looking at when it comes to all the pieces of a breast pump and how they fit together.  So I've ordered the Spectra s1.  I've read that there is a common complaint about leaking/flimsy collection and that people just use other pieces of other brands to circumvent this issues.  I'd like to have all the pieces I need before she arrives but I have no clue EXACTLY which pieces I need.  Anyone out there with experience with this pump, please let me know what I need to get to convert the collection pieces of a spectra to say a medella collection, please let me know.  Thank you!
