I had to come home early from work today, was incredibly dizzy, lots
of lower back and lower abdomen pain and ended up vomiting and haven't been able to keep anything down so my midwife told me to go the hospital for an NST. Definitely having contractions according to the nurse and my midwife. And they've just done an exam and I'm 1cm dilated and my cervix is very soft. They've just sent off some swabs.
DH is with me and I'm terrified. He's staying so calm and all I can think is no no no no no it's too early I'm only 31 weeks her lungs aren't ready, she's not ready yet just let her cook a little longer. Would definitely appreciate your words of supports, happy thoughts and prayers headed our way. Trying to stay positive and not totally flip out but it's hard!!! I just want her to be healthy

You are in the right place! Hopefully they'll be able to stop the contractions! The good news is your waters are in tact so from their standpoint baby doesn't have to come right now. I'll be thinking of you! Hang in there!

Sending positive thoughts! This happened to my sister in law too and she was able to keep him in until 35 (I think) weeks, and he was perfect! I hope she stays in and you don't have any more problems!

Update: the OB on call wants me to be transferred to the city hospital, they are not happy that I'm dilating and continuing to have regular contractions, and they don't have the capabilities to care for a 31 week preemie here in case I do give birth. Trying to stay calm, hoping this all slows down and she stays put. Also kicking myself for not packing my suitcase yet...

I'm glad they are sending you where LO can get the best care! Modern medicine is amazing! My niece was a 28 week micro preemie who is now a precocious 4 year old
