Support Belts

Anyone using one of these? I am pretty certain that I am having symptoms of PSD and support belts can help with this.....especially since I go back to teaching next week and will be on my feet all day.

Any brand rants/raves??

Re: Support Belts

  • This isn't exactly a rave, but I've been using the basic support belt from Motherhood Maternity and it has worked well. It's $18 or so and it just goes under the bump for additional support.

  • I have both a basic belly band (from Target) and a support belt (Loving Comfort brand from BBB). The support belt has a lot of adjustability and great back support, and has an optional over-belly strap. It is a bit itchy, and definitely obnoxious to deal with when you have frequent bathroom trips, but I think it helps with quite a bit.

I've been using one because I've had some sacroiliac pain. It seems to help. I usually only wear it when I'm on my feet all day and walking at work, since that's when it bothers me the most. Mine is an Azmed that I found on Amazon.

  • I bought mine at BABIESRUS. It is their brand and it seems to be helping with the pain. I believe that I have SPD this time around as well. I recommend it!
  • I bought this one off amazon early in my pregnancy because I've been having sciatic pain. It does a pretty darn good job with support.

  • I got fitted for one at a prosthesis place with DS. Fucker was expensive but it makes a huge difference.

  • I got one on amazon for $15 to use during workouts or just when the bump feels so heavy. There are just some days when my belly feels like it needs the support. I love it so far!
  • I had a belt when my back was out of whack. I tried wearing it with the belly and it really interfered, so I ordered one specifically for pregnancy off Amazon. I haven't used it yet, though! I'm lucky (and lazy, I guess) and get to sit down most of the time that I want to... but I really wanted to have it handy, because you never know when something is just going to pull wrong and you're going to be in pain and need a little help.
