Baby life hacks

Do you have any favorite baby life hacks? Here's a couple of mine... I just love the little things that make life easier!
Bibs hanging on the back of the highchair for easy grab and go at meal time. Using ice cube trays for freezing homemade baby food. When I need a serving I just pop one or two in a microwave bowl and ready to eat  :)

Re: Baby life hacks

  • I don't have a picture, but I have a massive roller. She tries to roll on the changing table, out of your arms in church--all. over. We've discovered handing her a half-sheet of paper keeps her more occupied than anything else. Yeah, she may try to chew on it, but if it's a new piece, we know where it's been. And it's better than her landing on the floor, because she is STRONG.

    Great idea!
  • Great idea with the bibs!

  • I've also seen using command Hooks on the back of high chairs!
  • We do the ice cube tray hack too!

We we also use binky clips to attach toys to DS. Now when he throws his toys I don't have to pick them up for him lol
  • @Becky012016 I use those pacifier clips for toys too. They are the absolute best when we are out in public! No more toys dropped on nasty floors!
  • I don't have a picture...but we use the ice cube trays to freeze the purees and put into baggies like you all do. We have a chest freezer and the baggies slide on each other and all over the place. I bought those $1 plastic shoe boxes to put the baggies in. I use one for fruits and one for veggies. Then I have ones for the extra fruits and veggies.

  • @linds852010 mine are also slip sliding around in my freezer. I love that idea about the plastic shoe boxes. I'll have to get some, thanks for sharing!
  • I carry straws in a tooth brush holder/case in the diaper bag in case I forget her water cup and can use the straw to get water out of our cup (like where you hold your finger at the top of the straw to suction water in the straw and can dribble it in LOs mouth.) Also bendy staws are helpful for toddlers because most restaurants have straight ones and toddlers wind up spilling when tilting the cup.
  • We went on family vacation this last weekend and I tried to use this genius pacifier clip idea to keep a toy with her for the 5 hour car ride. She managed to get the toy removed from the clip and the clip removed from her onesie before we even left! Sigh... It was a long ride.
  • @KFrob
Our baby thinks those clips are for chumps, too! She can get that thing off no problem!
