I think at least two more of our group are no longer pregnant! Congrats @lgem4 and @1faceinacrowd!! ETA: Cheering for you today, @jacmkelley!

Re: PGAL Check-in 7/25
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): Last biweekly appointment next week, then on to appointments every week. Our next appointment is the birth discussion with the midwife where we can talk about what happens and any preferences. I'm looking forward to it.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: So excited for all of you with outside babies! Sending lots of positive vibes that all of these new little ones are doing well!
I fell yesterday and pulled some muscles in my hips, so walking has been even more uncomfy than usual! DH goes away next weekend, but once he gets back, I think I'd be ok with baby coming anytime.
Questions?
GTKY: Are you sentimental? For example, do you have baby's coming home outfit all picked out or certain special items for baby to wear? Nope. Not sentimental-- I don't actually remember what outfit my DD wore when she came home, lol. I do one have sleeper she wore most of the time in the hospital, and maybe I will take it for this baby to wear, but I haven't got any firm plans.

@Fremdschamen I hope you're doing OK after your fall!
Weeks: 37
What's next: OB appointment on Thursday. It's just a regular checkup. I know in the beginning of my weekly appointments I said I would forgo the cervical checks but I caved last week and think I will this week too! I woke up yesterday with really painful contractions for about an hour. I want to know if any progress was made after that.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I'm so excited to be full term! That's a huge sigh of relief. Now I'm just hoping the baby comes either a little before or at my due date so I don't have to be induced. But we'll see. I'm still worried about my heart from time to time, especially when I get chest pain or have trouble breathing, but I just keep telling myself they would have done something if it were fatal.
One positive thing happened last week. I've mentioned before I hate my current job and DH and I are planning to move to our hometown to be closer to family soon after the birth. Well I had a phone interview last week that went really well and they're willing to hold the job out so I can formally interview after I give birth! So we may be able to move sooner if I get this job and I won't have to return to my old one after maternity leave at all. I'm so excited and hope it works out! This job sounds perfect for me, especially in comparison to the one I have now.
GTKY: I picked out two going home outfits months ago. One is newborn size and the other is 0-3 months since I'm not sure what size she'll be when she comes out. I think they're really cute but I'm not necessarily sentimental. I do keep going into her nursery and sitting in the glider, though, and looking around her finished room with all the stuff in it. I imagine what it'll be like when she's finally here and I can't wait for that!
Weeks: 35w4d
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): Dr. apt today. I mentioned this last time, but I really l want to make it to 37 weeks. I went 3 weeks early with my DD and everything went fine.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I am so excited for our PGAL mamas. To say I have been nesting, is an a major understatement. My house has never been cleaner and if this baby comes right now I will be fine...I mean fine but not fine.
Questions? None at this time.
GTKY: Are you sentimental? For example, do you have baby's coming home outfit all picked out or certain special items for baby to wear?
Yes!!!!! I have a special outfit for the LO and my DD and I cannot wait for that moment when the 2 girls meet. I made a big sister bag and bought a little something for my DD to give to the baby. I know I mentioned this piece before too, but I am sad that these are the last few days just the three of us.
@JournoGrl23 congrats on the interview, that's so exciting!
Weeks: 37w4d
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): Appt today, nothing exciting. I'll get a cervical check, but I don't think much will be happening. Just getting impatient for LO to get here!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've had some more cramping and consistent BH, but I don't feel like my body is getting ready for labor anytime soon. I need to find a zen mental state for if I go to or past my due date.
Questions? No
GTKY: Are you sentimental? For example, do you have baby's coming home outfit all picked out or certain special items for baby to wear?
I do have a special going home outfit for LO, but that's about as sentimental as I get. I am a pretty serious minimalist, so I don't keep a lot of stuff at all. DH and I are both this way, so our poor kids will probably end up with nothing from their childhood
Oops, sorry @lgem4! For some reason, I thought she had arrived. Glad things are still looking ok, and her going home outfit sounds perfect.
@JournoGrl23 Congrats on the interview! I hope it works out for you.
The fall was actually minor-- my ankle gave out on an uneven surface and I just kind of dropped straight down. I scratched my arm, but caught myself with my other hand, so nothing near where I would injure the baby. But, all my muscles seized up when I fell so I'm definitely feeling it today!

@lgem4 Hopefully you'll make it past this birthday packed week
@Fremdschamen Glad to hear it wasn't serious. I fell the day before I miscarried (not related though) but it still makes me so nervous.

What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to):
Meeting with my doula tonight and then weekly appointment tomorrow. Thinking I may have her do a cervix check just to see where things are at.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Getting so close and uncomfortable but glad he's still growing! It is nerve racking that his movements are less noticeable but I'm trying to remain calm and confident.
GTKY: Are you sentimental? For example, do you have baby's coming home outfit all picked out or certain special items for baby to wear?
Yes, I picked out some going home outfits and am bringing the baby book to the hospital to try to make sure I capture things. I'm not that great at it but I really love the baby stuff of mine my mom has been able to share with me so I'm trying to make sure to have some to share years from now. Although in this digital age it seems like it will definitely be harder to not have a ton of pics and videos.
@JournoGrl23 That's so exciting! The job sounds great and you needed some good news after last week's scare.
@lgem4 I'm sorry progress has stalled but maybe she's making sure she's past that birthday week! Also, that outfit sounds very, very sweet!

I had an appointment today. She said my cervix is still a little high but she still thinks I'll go before my c-section date. I'm ok with that!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I'm excited everyone is getting so close! @Katienu I felt the same way about 37 weeks. Starting today, it was like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. You'll be there soon!
Questions?
Nope
GTKY: Are you sentimental? For example, do you have baby's coming home outfit all picked out or certain special items for baby to wear?
I keep everything! I picked out her going home outfit and the blanket we'll take with us. They aren't anything special but I love them, both. When DS came home, he wore a onesie that said "All Because Two Buckeyes Fell In Love" (DH and I both went to Ohio State). I decided to go a girly route this time and pick a dress instead of a Buckeye themed outfit.
I should be having my induction now but I have been waiting for a room since 10AM. I am getting very frustrated.
Weeks: 39+3
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): Induction, today, if they get me in a room before midnight. Of course my OB has already gone off shift, and the whole reason I consented to an induction was at least it would be with my OB.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: yeah... I got nothing but frustration right now. Wasn't so bad when we were waiting at home but they told us to come in, only to make us wait more.
Questions? Is this normal for inductions??
GTKY: Are you sentimental? For example, do you have baby's coming home outfit all picked out or certain special items for baby to wear? I am sentimental, but not about the coming home outfit. Our nursery has the first toy from both my spouse and I on display. I tend to keep momentos, that sort of thing.
