Rants/Raves/Questions:

Happy to pass my GD test.  My number was actually low.  Labcorp results said normal is 65-139, and I was 84.  My anxious self worries 84 is too low instead of being happy to have passed.  

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance?    
His profile looked very similar to my son's ultrasound profile so I think he'll look like him.  My DH has very dominant genes so I'm sure he won't look like me at all.

If it makes you feel better, my number was 50. Waaayy below the minimum. Also, my doctor has you eat breakfast then drink the stuff an hour and a half after so it wasn't fasted either.

How are you feeling? Pretty good - more tired than I have been though. 

Upcoming appointments? Anesthesia meeting at the hospital today (required by our hospital) and OB check up Wednesday. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: Rave: First Baby Shower Saturday!! 

Also waiting on my 3 hour results..today or tomorrow and I'm kind of nervous but also kind of convinced I failed. We will see! 

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? For some reason, I imagine him looking like my youngest brother. Dark hair and round face. I haven't seen Baby B since our Anatomy Scan so who knows!!! 

@MKJeffrey2002 My numbers in annual bloodwork before pregnancy were always 80-84.

How far along? 27 weeks! I'm saying 3rd tri! Can't believe it!! 

What size is baby? A bunch of bananas

How are you feeling? Not too bad. Sleep deprived and heartburn are the biggest complaint. Other than those, I really can't complain, I've had a great past few months after a rough start. 

Upcoming appointments? August 9 for my glucose testing. My dr does it differently, it's a 2 hour test and if I fail, I fail, no second chance. I BETTER PASS! And I also need to get the Rhogam shot, since i'm RH negative. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: Just wish I was able to sleep better. 

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? I'm really hoping that our son comes out with my black hair and my DH's crystal blue eyes. But I have a feeling he will be black hair/brown eyes. We both have nice olive skin so he'll definitely have a nice complexion. We have our 4D ultrasound on the 17th, I can't wait!!!

How are you feeling?  Generally pretty good.  I've been having a bit of acid reflux at the back of my throat but nothing compared to what some ladies are experiencing.  Today though I am exhausted!!!

Upcoming Appointments? I have one this afternoon, just a routine OB bi-weekly check in.  I also have my first growth US next week.

Rants/Raves/Questions? I am so done working! I only have 3 weeks to go, and in that time there is a long weekend (this one coming), as well as a bunch of appointments so I get to leave early, which means the time should go by quickly, but ya I really am done! 

GTKY - what do you think LO will look like? I'm not really sure.  It's my first so I have no comparisons but I try to visualize it.  I think he'll have dark hair and I'm hoping he gets hubby's blue eyes, but my mom is convinced he's going to have dark eyes.  I have a feeling he's going to be tiny though.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I feel useless most days between getting the spins when my sugars go over 7 and the heat giving me migraines. My husband broke his foot so I can't expect him to do much of anything either. 

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance?
I think this one looks a little more like my husband our 3 year old is my clone other than her hair and metabolism. I know it's going to be a hairy baby my daughter came out with enough hair to put in pig tails and my son needed a cut before he could sit up on his own. The rest is a mystery I'm sure it will be perfect to us no matter who he or she looks like.

28 weeks. I waited until today to call it third trimester official so I'm pretty excited.

What size is baby? Egg plant

How are you feeling? Over all pretty good. I'm having terrible reflux and my mind wife frowns upon tums. Sometimes my feet hurt really badly.

Upcoming appointments? We have a follow up US tomorrow to try and get better pictures of his heart. I can't wait to see how much he has grown. I also have my glucose challenge tomorrow.

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? I have blonde hair and blue eyes and fiancé has dark hair and light brown eyes. I'm thinking baby with probably have light brown hair and some variation of brown/green eyes. I think he will look more like daddy than me. The only thing I am really hoping he gets from my side is being born bald. I just think a bald baby looks "brand new" if that makes any sense. My MIL is praying for a head full of hair though.

A little fatigued and less mobile, but overall pretty well.

Just a check up at the end of next week. First of the bi-weekly appointments.

My weight gain was pretty high the second tri, but it seems like it has stabilized. All of the acid reflux keeps me from eating too much. LO has been kicking up a storm the last few days! I think baby is feet down based on all the kicks--when do they usually turn?

This is our first, so I have no idea! I would love it baby has my dark, naturally curly hair and DH's nice blue eyes. It will be a genetic wonder if our baby is not born with a crooked nose, since we both have one.

@NicholeL16 why does your midwife dislike tums? I'm fairly certain my kid will arrive addicted to them...

@minnemiska she mentioned something about them causing calcium deposits on the placenta (I think). She had me start a  papaya enzyme instead but it doesn't seem to be doing anything for me.

How are you feeling? I'm beat. What I wouldn't give for a 10 hour stretch of uninterrupted sleep. 

Upcoming appointments? Had one today. Heart rate good. Had GTT today and tetanus. I guess they like to fit all the fun stuff into one day. Hopefully my test results will be ok. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm just tired all of the time. My never ending rant. Always tired. Always. 

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? My daughter is my mini me, so I'm wondering who this one will look like. H has a HUGE nose, so hopefully this kid will get mine. But H is also very tall and lean, so it would be great if he could inherit that from him. I guess we'll find out in a couple months!

DS was a spitting image of DH when he was born but by 6months he looked 100% like me and still does at 2. I'm convinced this baby will either follow that pattern or just look like DH. The selfish part of me things DS is a beautiful kid and wants this one to look like me.

So ya remember how I said my OB appointment was today?? Ya no, it's on Wednesday and didn't realize that until I left work and arrived to the office and decided to double check the time.  Luckily the doctor was in and they ended up having a cancellation so she was able to fit me in no problem (this way I don't have to leave work early on Wednesday as well).

The appointment went well, she was having a hard time finding him...she could hear his heart beat through the placenta but she wanted it from him and he kept moving.  She called him a little stinker and he retaliated by kicking her hand lol.  Finally he let her catch him and we got a heart beat reading at 130 beats per minute which she said was good.  Good times!

How are you feeling? better.  Starting to get constipated, so taking stool softeners.

Too many! August 2nd for a growth ultra sound. August 5th for my kidney dr. Staring August 8th I have a non stress test every Monday and growth ultrasound every Thursday!

Back on Metformin for gestational diabetes. Pretty bummed because I'm controlling well with diet but my fasting numbers are too high!

The 4-D ultrasound looked like he had my nose! Hubby and I have a pretty similar face shape and the little guy looked to have the same too!

Upcoming appointments? I was supposed to just have a check up today but I cancelled it this am. I need a break. 

Rants/Raves/Questions: I wish I could have just taken the stupid glucose test like a normal person. Because of testing my sugars daily, no one will make a decision on the numbers. Out of 7 days I had 2 that were 3 pts above the level they were supposed to be for my doctor but still 2 pts under what other Drs recommend... So now I have to test for another week... It's not a huge deal just freaking irritating.

I have no clue, I was surprised with my dd. I thought she would have brown hair and brown eyes since my family is mostly Italian and those are the features everyone has but instead she looks exactly like her father and has hazel eyes and light brown/blond hair (it honestly looks like she has highlights). And she has these ringlets which my husband had as a baby. So idk if this lo will take on the 'dominate' traits that I have or look like my husband and her sister...

How are you feeling? Pretty good!  Had my first bout of heartburn this weekend and it was AWFUL! Nothing since, but I'm now prepared with Tums, Zantac and yogurt because I know it return!

Upcoming appointments? Monthly OB appt. on Wednesday - Then I think it's every 2 weeks!

Rants/Raves/Questions: Passed my GD test, so that's a relief!  Planning to ask the doctor some basic delivery questions at my appt. this week - they haven't really brought up anything yet and I'm getting antsy!

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? My husband is slim, Irish pale and a bit of a redhead (more brown, but holy crap does his beard get red!) - and I'm more thick/curvy and blonde so it should be an interesting combo!  Hoping they inherit his metabolism, cuz he sure can pack it away and just never seems to gain much! And, hoping they get my thick hair.  Very curious to see if they are BORN with hair - my husband was bald as a baby while I had so much hair, my mom had to have it cut at 6 weeks!
