I hosted book club on Tuesday and have had leftover wine taunting me in the fridge. DH doesn't drink, so I had a glass last night. I had originally told myself that at 8.75 months pregnant I would allow myself a glass of wine and a deli sandwich, but 'waste not, want not' mentality kicked in.
@nlane0723 My morning was similar! We had donuts AND bagels - best morning ever lol. And I pretty much just bumped all morning. The afternoon had it's share of things to do, but I'm back here again just counting the minutes til home time lol.
My FFFC is that I have zero desire to take stuff out to my mom. She's at a scrapbooking retreat about an hour away and she left a few things at home. She said if we bring her those things, she'll get us dinner. They do have good food at the resort she's at, but the thought of driving that far makes me want to cry. DH and DD really want to go though so I'm going to suck it up and go for the free food. If there wasn't free dinner though, I'd be sooo tempted to be like "Sorry mom, it's too damn hot leave the house, let alone drive an hour, even with a/c in the car"
Countdown to Baby H! Mommy to Elizabeth (6/18/09), preemie at 34 weeks
I'm stupid excited because we're finally firing a client/giving her 2 week notice of termination of services who should have been placed in a residential living facility a LONG time ago. The extremely strenuous nature of her care was taking a huge toll on me to the point where I was going to talk to my supervisor about going on maternity leave early.
I'm relieved/happy that my nephew decided to go to philly with my parents rather then sleep over tonight. He has slept over basically every Friday for 5 or 6 years (I can't remember for sure what age that started). It used to be so much fun, but now he's 8 and a super active boy and our place is really small with no yard. He ends up driving me crazy by always needing to balance or kick a ball off the wall. My dd LOVES him but the age gap has actually gotten to be too much at this point because they have maybe a good hour and then they fight the rest of the night. I would never ever suggest he stops coming over, but it actually was really a great surprise when my mom texted me today and said he wasn't coming. Cue sigh of relief.
It's getting harder and harder to find the motivation and energy to get up and go to work. Almost every day I wonder if I can call off. If I could afford it, I'd be on maternity leave already.
This is the third god damn week in a row I have been on TB several times a day, and STILL forgot to post the FFFC... sorry guys, I really just can't brain lately.
@krzyriver move over in that boat of yours cause me too! What's even worse is dealing with camp kids all day is making me question this whole thing and why I didn't decide just to drink!
My FFFC is that I am avoiding all things breastfeeding/bottles/pumping. I have no idea what I'm going to do but the one thing I do know is that my feeble mind cannot handle opening that geyser of information at the moment.
@krzyriver Agreed. I struggle so much each morning to get to work and then stay focused when I get there.
I went to work for the afternoon and stayed until 5 instead of my usual 4:30 just to see if my boss would notice my "extra effort" (which isn't really extra since I didn't go in until 1:30 after my GTT). She thanked me on the way out.

@nlane0723@LauraPCOS@ibabyloveb87 Glad I'm not the only one! Lol. Not much longer ladies! That's what I remind myself every day. I'm actually counting the days down. 32 work days left. That'll take me to Sept 16, which is about 3 weeks before my due date.... unless my body falls apart sooner.
fffc is that I'm sick of the "watch for motorcycles" bs. I was driving today on a 2 lane 30mph residential street and on the other side was the garbage truck. there was a car letting me pass and the speshul snowflake on a motorcycle didn't wanna wait with the car and almost hit me head on. they weave in and out of stop and go traffic and shoot up the shoulder. sorry not sorry but don't drive like a jerk and accidents don't happen.
then I was leaving the farmers market and saw this like 10 min later...

I got 3 weeks until mine starts (I work at a school so I'm not starting the new school year just to leave a few weeks later). Officially I have 15 days, but really 12.5 once you remove a holiday, and my appointments...that's 75 hours....I think I can do it! (Watch my Monday BF be all nope nope nope I'm done!)
My confession - I didn't want to talk to my mother-in-law this afternoon, so I excused myself to make a phone call so I could stay upstairs in my room after I put my son down for his nap. It totally backfired on me when I ended up on the phone with the home delivery pharmacy for an hour trying to figure out what happened to my prescription refill. (If you're ever tempted to use OptumRx for specialty prescriptions, don't. Prescriptions are less expensive, but they have yet to get me my medication without complications.)
My confession is that I am taking care of myself more which means something has to give. I decided housework would it. I'll keep things livable for me and my son, but DH is going to need to step uo big time on most of the work before I lose my mind.
I've always been really close to my dad and stepmom, but since our BFP they've been driving me up a wall. Mostly my stepmom, but it's seriously getting on my last nerve. We scheduled an elective 3d ultrasound next Saturday and invited the grandparents to come see. Well she text me today and asked if my aunt could come too. It's not that big of a deal, but the place has a limit on the number of people you can and we're close to it (both our parents are divorced so we've got double the grandparents). I shouldn't be that annoyed, but I totally am.
@brzvice I'm there with you. I told a friend yesterday that I'm so overwhelmed by all the info. I'm done researching- I've absorbed all I can take into my poor brain at this point, and the rest I'll either figure out on my own once he's here or get help with at the hospital.
@AllyTheKid I know this sounds silly considering where I was but I was at Walmart today, in line at customer service. There was a girl ahead of me that was a hot mess. I happened to look down and noticed she's barefoot. Like, who tf goes into a Walmart barefoot? I judged the shit out of her too. Then I felt bad. Then I realized she was cashing a check and Walmart sells 97 cent flip flops. Geez...
@ByeBabyBunting my son's birthday was Monday and my SO's on Tuesday. I've pretty much survived on cake, cupcakes and ice cream all week. I'm also pretty sure I've gained like 4 lbs this month.

I just had my second donut. It had fresh strawberries on it so it was basically a fruit.
