I already look freakin 5 months because bloat+ being overweight suckksss. I heard the "oh my god you look like you're gonna pop" at 6 months last pregnancy... I will hit people this time.

Same. I put on 65 lbs. It was all baby and water. I had a lady at Starbucks ask me "Oh, we're you a big girl before you got pregnant?" when she learned I was 34 weeks. I cried so much!

Da fuq is wrong with people? I wouldn't be able to control my rage if someone said that to me and those probably would have been the last words she ever spoke.

I might just start screaming at them *AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*
Not really a bump and probably bloating or whatever the eff is pressing on my bladder making me have to pee every 5 seconds but today is the first day I saw a little something!
@npaulie that is crazy! That is the perfect example of early pregnancy bloat!! I took a similar "after" pic the other day, but I did not take one in the morning. I need to do that.
Me: 36; DH: 38 DD: 7; DS1: 4; DS2 due 6-21-17! **TW** MMC & D&C Aug 2016
@npaulie WAT?! Wow. I'm going to have to check mine tonight. I just put down a ciabatta roll, pasta, and turkey bacon so perhaps I can grow mine like that today.
@onefootinthebayou and @JAGinMI right?! Even though I'm not "showing", I have to be so careful what I wear in case someone accidentally guesses early. Also, none of my pants fit... Do I've just been wearing leggings and baggy sweaters to work. Thank god it never gets above 65 where I live! Ha ha!!!
I certainly feel very bloaty but I already have a little bit of a tummy so nothing really changes there. My stomach definitely feels like how @npaulie's looks though!

I was 5 weeks yesterday and the blump as definitely arrived. My belly feels BEYOND distended. I feel decent when I first wake up and it just escalates throughout the day....

I was seriously in shock. It was the day of our maternity pictures and I felt like a whale the rest of the day.

Ugh, this makes me so mad. I'd have had trouble not replying, "Oh, have you always been this ignorant or is it a recent development?" Grrrrr.

Definitely one of the worst parts of pregnancy. Just wait FTMs... We'll all have plenty of these awful stories by the time third tri gets here. People have no filter with pregnant woman.
Yeah I am definitely not looking forward to that part of pregnancy. If anyone says something to me like they did to @AverageAsh or @veeveemama59, I will totally lose my sh*t on them.... and then probably cry. But only after I point out something to shame their bodies and shut them up. Why do people lose their d@mn minds when they are around pregnant women? I hate you both had those bad experiences. Sometimes people just suck.

I've already decided what my comeback will be if anyone insults my pregnant body, "Oh really? Well you look like a human potato". Get's 'em every time. No one wants to look like a potato.

I just don't understand what is wrong with people. At 39w4d with DS we were just grabbing a few things at a store and the woman behind me wouldn't lay off me. She kept saying over and over that she couldn't believe how big I was. Finally I snapped and told her I couldn't believe how f@#%ing rude she was, which shut her up promptly.
If you feel the need to comment on someones size, it better be to tell them they look great. Asshats.
I look young for my age and admittedly felt a bit weird whenever buying pregnancy tests. I made sure my wedding view was in plain sight at the checkout counter, because you know, diamonds = maturity. I REALLY hope I don't end up looking like a teen mom. People joke about how pregnancy and parenting age them; that might be a welcome change for me. And I sincerely hope I don't sound like I'm humble-bragging. At 25, it was like, haha, okay. But now, the jig is up. I occasionally will get looks from elderly people like "Ugh, the youths of today." So if I get even subtle comments about being a young mom, I will go positively ape shit. I'M THIRTY, I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING.
Friday Confession: Even though I don't believe anyone has anything that's not a "blump" right now, I keep coming back and checking this thread to see the pictures and then mostly am just jealous of all your guys flat stomachs LOL
@dubcompanion DH gets that too. He's thirty, but looks like he's a freshman in college. A few years ago he actually was told he couldn't get a library card because you need your mom to sign when you're under 16.
HAHA I'm also 30, but I work with college students, so I spend the majority of my day on college campuses and am constantly confused for a college student. I'm certain to soon get the side eye from people who think I'm a knocked up college student.
@RunBooRun Yuuuup! Naturally, I still get carded. I used to get the suspicious look like, "You're really 23?" And now they just do a double take. Because no 19-year-old would try to pull off looking 28+.
Not only do people comment on your size but they ask the most personal questions!! Things no sane person would ask a stranger like... Are you going to have a vaginal birth? I had a GUY ask me that question. WTF do you care buddy if I wanna birth this baby out of my ear it's none of your business.
@DaniBanani16 I work with 6-8th grade and am occasionally in the high school building. That might be part of my fear of looking like a teen mom. The staff all knows who I am, but not the parent volunteers and folks like that.
@dubcompanion I know the feeling. I'm almost 30 and still get carded for drinks. When I go places with my 8 year old they always ask me if she's my sister. Then give me dirty looks when I say it's my daughter. One time some guy even said I was a naughty girl after he asked & I told him she was my daughter. It's annoying.

That right there is why I'll go to jail - after I punch a face for making a rude comment about looking like a young mom. Sorry you've had to deal with that.

This is what scares me about telling certain people. I worked with 4 pregnant women last school year, and we would talk about mucus plus and all kinds of things at lunch. I'm more private than that, and I don't want them to ask me those kinds of questions.
OMG I'm going back to college this fall... I didn't even think about being mistaken for 19.... I'm 25 @DaniBanani16
I'm willing to guarantee that maturity will set you apart, lol. You'd be SHOCKED how some "adults" act when they finally move away from mom and dad for the first time.
In the face of the rudeness, I'm going to try to use the following:
Why would you think it was okay to say/ask something like that? Wouldn't you be offended if I said something like that to you?
That's offensive.
That's a really personal question.
I don't care to discuss that.
Why do you ask? (For people who seem like they're just genuinely trying to educate themselves.)
My all time favorite: You'll have to excuse me. In a tone that says "I'm walking away before I deck you."
If I go into it expecting it and have scripts ready, it helps me to not either freeze and just allow them to be a-holes unchecked or to do the opposite and blow up at them (and say inappropriate and ineffective things). Ultimately the real goals are to feel like I stood up for myself and hopefully to help them to change their future behavior. If I get just straight catty back, they can dismiss me as just being a b- and don't rethink their behavior. If I can stay direct and calm, maybe it will help.

@Kiki75 I'm going to have to remember those lines! They are great responses and I tend to have a really short fuse and just blow up on rude people...which doesn't change their future behavior at all.

I already say "Wow that's a really personal question" often. People just don't have filters and it gets worse when you're pregnant (or so I hear). I don't have a problem pointing out people's rudeness to them and I love your list.
