Anyone have success with 3 day transfers?

Hi ladies, 

  Just trying to get an idea of how many of you actually had a BFP from a fresh 3 day embryo transfer. My RE doesnt feel that my egg quality is good enough to make it to day 5 in the lab so we did a 3 day fresh transfer of 2 embryos. This is my 3rd IVF but 1st transfer. I have low egg count and my egg quality isnt that great either.
1st IVF no eggs
2nd IVF 3 eggs 0 fertilized
3rd IVF 6 eggs 3 fertilized, 2 transferred on day 3 and the 3rd embryo didnt make it to day 5. 

Im currently in my TWW and have my beta this Fri 7/22.

@Steff_99 I wish I had a positive anecdote to share, but I am in the same boat you are. I transferred two day 3 embryos this past Sunday - the quality was good but they were our only two eggs that fertilized and the RE didn't want to chance waiting it out to day 5. So my fingers are crossed for you, and I hope you get great news on Friday! I'll be watching this thread to hopefully hear some success stories too.

I would recommend you try posting this in the success after IF forum, as the majority of us in this group are still trying for #1!  Good luck with the rest of your TWW!

Keeping my fingers crossed for both of you @Steff_99 and @heather041413! I am in a similar boat as both of you. Had 11 eggs retrieved, only 5 fertilized and all but 2 stopped growing by day 3. So rather than chance going to day 5 with no embryos, they froze on day 3 (my progesterone was too high for transfer) and then we did a FET in April. Unfortunately neither took. One looked perfect, the other showed some fragmentation at implantation. I too also have low reserve and egg quality issues. I'm thinking of both of you and hope you have better success!

@Steff99 We transferred 2,  day 3 embryos on 6/7. We just had our 8week 5 day sono and got to see and even hear our lil ones heartbeat! So yes it's possible!:-)  only 1stuck but we are thrilled, keep positive!!! Best wishes!!

One of my best friends just had her Day 3 baby!  She transferred two and one stuck.  She didn't have any make it to Day 5 or to freeze.  Best of luck to you!

Yes! My first IVF cycle I only got one egg. It fertilized but was low quality. We did a 3 day transfer. My son is now 3.5 years old!
