@tclayton53 STOP I LOVE those little campers for vacation etc. They are the cutest, and that one's colors?! The best!
I'm like a few of the ladies in the 2 bedroom 2 bath camp. We currently have our soon to be 2yo sleeping in our room since it is rather large, and we ended up being crunchy parents who let our kid sleep with us. Now as he gets closer to two, trying to get him to stay in his toddler bed in our room through the night, is a priority- one that he laughs at and then crawls back into our bed. Really trying to break that habit with this next LO, because damn our bed isn't big enough for all of us! Our second bedroom currently is our son's play room/ guest room. Thankfully both bedrooms are fairly large and when company stays they are able to use the queen in the guest room while still having a walk-in closet & room for their belongings etc. The only downfall is our lack of an office.. really wish I had one instead of the desk in our bedroom, but it works for now.
We're thinking our 2yo will share his room with baby until my husband graduates December 2017 and we begin looking to buy or build a new home. I'll probably start trying to transition my son into his own bedroom but honestly I've got no clue how that's gonna go over. Really needing to find a solution so the baby's cries won't wake up my 2yo.
We did something similar to this for DS' room. If you had to move it out of the room to make space for another crib, you could just add curtain rod to the front and hang a long curtain drape to hide the clothes.
Woah, I love this! I might end up doing that for this baby's room.

My disabled mother lives with us, in the house that I grew up in. She has the master suite - the shed(s) outside and storage room (inside) are all filled to the brim with her things. We are converting the inside storage room back into a bedroom (for the baby) but now we either have to convince her to get rid of some things, or pay for a storage unit.
We bought our house last spring. We've been talking about the idea of expanding our family for about 4 years now, so I was super picky when house hunting. We got a 4 bed and 1 1/2 bath. (Currently h and I in 1, ds, and dd in 2 and 3...4th room was needed for future planned baby lol) All 4 bedrooms are upstairs. And we have a large attic and full basement if we ever needed extra rooms. Downstairs has a "sitting parlor" I have with my piano and a chair and small table. I'll be using that as a downstairs sleep place for baby by adding a small crib/play pen. The room has a sliding pocket door to block noises. Then our bedroom has a "secret" walkway to cut into baby room through closet. I'll just make sure that section is cleaned out so I can leave the doors open and walk straight in. The biggest problem I have is the stairs. The stairs are easy access in the foyer so I'm hoping to get one of those gates that has a swinging door so we can just open and close it at the last steps. I'm just hoping it will fit securely but we have a long time before baby will be attempting to climb.
@Knottie16288692 I hope I got the right one tagged haha... unless I am confused about your room set up, I was wondering. Is it possible for your husband to move his office into the smaller nursery room so that the kids can have a larger space?
We have plenty of space (3 bedrooms and 3 baths), and this is our first kid, so we don't have to do too much. But this house is about 12 years old, and everything in it is contractor grade, so it's all starting to get gross or fall apart. I'm at the beginning stages of a big refresh project. I've already painted the two spare bedrooms (we're combining the guest room and study into the bigger bedroom down the hall, and the smaller bedroom next door to the master will become the nursery. Right now both just have piles of furniture sitting in the middle of the floor.), and the dining room is all prepped for me to paint today and tomorrow. The breakfast nook, powder room, laundry, and pantry are all next up on the weekend. Next week, I'm tackling the kitchen cabinets, which I'm painting white and replacing the hardware, and having the kitchen countertops measured for replacement. We're doing a tiny bit of remodeling in the kitchen, but the footprint will stay the same. And before the baby gets here, I'm hoping to be able to replace all the downstairs floors. So not really a lot of baby stuff to do, but a ton of general projects going on.
It's currently only DH and I in a 5 bedroom, 4 bath house. It was a fairly run-down foreclosure and we mostly bought it for the land...but have been remodeling the house the last 3 years. The only change we need to make is to get the upstairs of the remodel done. The nursery (which was an indoor hot tub room) is currently storing tools, lumber, and the miter saw. So major changes and a tight timeline!
I currently live with my twin sister in a two bedroom lift. My BF is going to be moving in soon. We will be upgrading to a king size bed and getting ride of a night stand and desk in my room. The two current dressers I have will be for baby stuff and our underwear/socks/tanks. We will put two additional dressers in the basement laundry room and move everything from my closet down there. We're going to remove the closet doors and put the crib in there with a canopy or sheer curtain for decoration. We plan on bringing baby home there but know that we'll need a bigger place by next summer. I'm very excited to start the mini nursery!
