Spotting

Has anyone experienced spotting specifically in the 2nd trimester? Beginning around 14 weeks, I have noticed light pink blood only when wiping. This has happened 3 times most recently last night at 19 weeks. I am curious if this is something I need to call my doctor about or if I can wait until the anatomy scan next Monday. I have heard that spotting is normal and can happen after sex or an internal exam, but neither of those things have occurred recently. Any insight would be appreciated!

I spot after any sort of intense activity (and am on pelvic rest) because of placenta previa. Do you know where your placenta is? Honestly some people just have irritable cervixes, it could be nothing (as long as it's not accompanied by cramps and red blood etc, just like first tri)

@TinaBelcher Thanks for the response! I am not sure where my placenta is, I am assuming I will find out when I go for my AS next week.

Spotting can be normal during pregnancy but I would call and speak to a nurse so she can help decide if you need to be seen. Pink or red spotting and I would be definitely be calling.

Update: I did call my office and the nurse consulted with the doctor and they said no sex or exercise until my AS on Monday where they should be able to get a better idea of what is or isn't going on. Since it has only happened 4-5 times, it is light pink, it's not filling a pad, and there is no cramping, there aren't too concerned.
