How far along? 25 weeks

What size is baby? Acorn squash, Large cucumber, or A popped bag of microwave popcorn.

How are you feeling? Overall pretty good. Some back pain and leg cramps here and there, but nothing too bad. 

Upcoming appointments? Awaiting the results from my glucose test I took on Friday...should hear back by Monday or Tuesday. Other than that, I don't have an appointment for another 4 weeks (28w5d), for a quick ultrasound to check that my placenta is moving up, and I'm guessing more blood and urine tests.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Rave: I got some compression socks thanks to a wonderful suggestion I got about two weeks ago on this thread!! They have done wonders this week!! My ankles are no where near as swollen as they previously were. And even though they still swell a bit at work, they take a lot quicker to go down once I can elevate them when I am home for the night. Thank you!!! Another rave: My husband and I are heading to a spa resort today for a relaxing day in the pool (if it's not too hot), and a couples massage!! I am super excited!!

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? I honestly have no idea, but am really curious to find out. I am white, with Jewish heritage, and have very curly light brown hair, pale skin, and blue eyes. My husband has Indian heritage, with brown skin, straight black hair, and hazel eyes. I'm wondering if our little boy will have light brown skin, and curly black hair. I can't wait to find out!!

How are you feeling? Ok...def need to take it easy and rest a lot or my back, legs, and feet kill me...otherwise ridiculous carpal tunnel and breathing like a fish out of water in this heat & humidity

Upcoming appointments? Next month...tons of appts for the rest of the pregnancy, and they all got scheduled at my appt this week!

Rants/Raves/Questions: My rant is just that DH and I have been pretty grouchy with each other lately over minor stuff, and the bratty part of me thinks the pregnant card should just cancel out anything I might be contributing to it haha. Raves, my shower was yesterday and it was amazing! And my last appt went really well plus I got to see the 4d u/s! And I think I found the last decorative touch for the nursery (none of the decorations I got are up but I can't wait to start!)

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? I'm not sure what to expect but it'll be interesting bc she's getting a mix of DH's dominant and my recessive genes

Sorry for all the grouchiness in your home, @UponAStar16.  I had a weepy week like that, but I think it stemmed from just being a bit afraid of all the changes to come.  So glad you had a great shower!  Lucky girl!

How are you feeling? I'm feeling okay. The weekends I become super lazy and don't get much done although I said I would get tons of things done during the weekends in July.  

Upcoming appointments? Just had my 28w appt, ultrasound, glucose test, rhogam shot, and tdap shot on Thursday.  Won't find out glucose test results until Monday. I've been eating cake all weekend.  Made my next two appointments for 30 and 32 weeks.  I can't believe I'm almost in the 30s... 

Rants/Raves/Questions:  Petty rant is that Bojangles is breech and facing towards my spine, so I haven't been able to see his face, nevermind a 3d/4d picture of his face for the past 3 months.  I'm also not having a baby shower, and I'm starting to get worried about everything that I need to purchase off my registry.  Trying to hold off on the anxieties until later in August.

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? Right now we are guessing the baby will have my chubby cheeks, but hoping he will have DH's skin that tans and height.  I'd love him to have my green eyes, but I doubt that will happen with DH's brown eyes.

How are you feeling? Good! Trying to stay cool. Normally I love summer and hot weather, but dealing with the pregnancy swelling and sweating is not as easy as lounging by the pool with a beer like last summer!

Rants/Raves/Questions: I posted this in the appointments thread, but I had my third attempt at anatomy scan this week and they finally got all the pictures they needed! Baby is looking great and healthy. Such a relief!

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? I can't wait to see what she'll look like!! Lots of Irish heritage in both our families - my husband has auburn hair, my brother is a redhead, and my dad had red hair when he was born. I wonder if she'll be a redhead too!

Upcoming appointments? Tuesday for a regular check up, Wednesday for an elective 4D ultrasouns

Rants/Raves/Questions: I scheduled this ultrasound a couple weeks ago and it was going to be $105 for 30 minutes of 4D, pictures, cd, etc.  Well, they posted on their Facebook yesterday that they needed people to come in for a new sonographer to practice and it's still 4D and same amount of time and pictures for $40! Woohoo!!

I'm thinking she will look similar to my second son

What size is baby? Acorn squash. They told us 3.5 lbs at the u/s last week, which was about a pound larger than baby is supposed to be. Egads!

How are you feeling? Pretty good. Still coughing from this cold and trying to get over it, but otherwise I feel great.

Upcoming appointments? My OB isn't doing another visit until 31 weeks. I went from 4-week visits to 3. Not sure when they'll switch me to 2-week visits. I've never heard of 3-week visits before. Glucose test went great. No problems there.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm having a ton of Braxton Hicks contractions, and some of them are starting to be quite painful. It's worrying me a little, though all the books say it's normal. Stay in there until 32 weeks, baby!

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? I really have no idea. This is our first, so I'm envisioning the worst parts of my hubby and the worst parts of me all coming together. Yikes. Hopefully it works out the other way. Hubby has hazel eyes and I have blue eyes, so I'm trying to figure out what color eyes our baby might have. The tow-headed gene runs strong in my family, so we'll probably have a little blondie that will get progressively darker as they get older.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My family threw a shower for us yesterday, it was a little early, but my sister was traveling in from out of state so it was planned around that. Everything actually went really well, and we got some great gifts. It was so nice to see all of my aunts and uncles since they are across the state and we don't get to see them that often. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to it though, and now I am starting to freak out a little about how much we still need to get before baby gets here! Now I am just exhausted from the weekend. We had a 4 hour drive to get there on Friday, and then drove back today, and now all I want to do is lay on the couch and watch tv for the rest of the day. 

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? No idea, but my best guess would be that she will have dark curly hair, although she could be like husband and be blonde as a child. Other than that I am just sure she is going to be pretty small. We are both pretty short, and husband was always really small for his age as a child, so she really has no chance at ever being tall. I keep telling my husband that I hope she looks just like me but gets his personality, that would be my perfect mix of both of us.

Excited that I've been able to mostly clear out the baby's room. Hoping to get crib/changing table and dresser in the next week or two.

GTKY: What do you think this LO will look like? If you have other children how will she/he differ from their appearance? We had an early 3D picture at my OB's office and my best friend says she looks like my H. We both had super curly, super blonde hair when we were babies, and now we both have kind of dark blonde, thick & wavy hair, so I'm assuming she will get this? Would love it if she had my H's pretty blue eyes.
