@scostel2 I feel for you! I've been dragged to a few minor league games and they are sooo long. The ones I've been to then do stupid things after every inning that makes it go on way longer then is necessary.
@TurtleMomma From what I understand, it is supposed to be more like the novel since is being filmed as a full length movie based off of it as opposed to a two-part mini series.
My only 'gripe' so far from what I know of the remake is... I wish they would have used Tim Curry again.
I love watching live baseball, not on TV. (I too can't wait for O's games with my boy, @mrscorker. Wouldn't it be funny if we saw each other at a game and didn't even know?) I love watching football on TV, but not live.
I don't have a registry. I don't even think I'm going to have a shower/sprinkle (nobody has offered and I'm absolutely not hosting my own). I'm moderately sad but meh, it is what it is. I think people are still pissed that we're not finding out the sex.
I made a registry on this site called baby list to kinda keep me in line with what I need to purchase for this second baby. I used a lot of my sisters stuff- car seat, activity mat, exersaucer etc because her daughter was only just 1 when I had DS1. She just had her second in May so I won't be able to use her stuff this time around. But I like baby list cause you can make it private and send the link. This way if someone asks like family or whatnot you can send them the link.
Ive been clicking things off as I purchase them myself. And I really don't expect to receive any gifts from people.
Ugh. My DD (2.5) still has a paci and I'm scared for my life to take it away. It shuts her up when we are in public (she's one of those obnoxious, loud, screaming, runaway toddlers) and she has never, and I mean never, fallen asleep without one. We also attempted to potty train a couple times and gave up. But my goals before this little guy gets here is no paci and potty trained.
Also, @Piperella I still gag from time to time when changing DD's diaper. Sometimes I'm like "WTF did I feed you?! Never ever again."
@mrskratt my almost 3 year old still uses binky. It was something we were gonna work on this summer before baby but now that I'm on bedrest and have been in the hospital etc I don't really want to take something away from him.
i just gotta try and keep everyone else on board so that he can only have it at night time and nap time!
DS had his pacifier at night until he turned 5. He has ADHD and a major oral fixation. He's almost 6 now and he's chewing on his shirt collars, putting holes in them. We've tried chewy bracelets and necklaces but they cost a ton and he loses then in about 2 minutes. I guess my FFC is that is go back to the pacifier if it was socially acceptable.
We were successful!!! Pacifiers are gone and we haven't had a meltdown about it yet! He's asked about it a couple times, but once I remind him where they went, he leaves it alone. Getting a new toy truck didn't hurt...
@nlane0723, @ignoscemihi, & @mrskratt - I'm with you there!! Potty training is our next item to tackle before baby gets here. He'll go pee if we take him every 2 hours, but won't tell us when he needs to go. And still no #2 yet...
@ByeBabyBunting - So sorry to hear that I know, there is such a stigma associated with pacifiers. And I admit, I used to be one of those people who would think, "Why does that kids still have a pacifier?" But now that I've had a child of my own, I see what a lifesaver they can be!!
Even though I breastfed my first two girls, I'm not at all looking forward to it this time. I feel like such a hag for feeling that way, but I'm considering formula feeding this time around. I have not had much luck with breastfeeding with either kids, and did power through with the help of formula sometimes to 9 months. This time I just don't feel like fighting the fight. I may pump in the beginning when I seem to always have enough but I do not see myself being eager to breastfeed him like I was with the other two. Maybe the feelings will change but right now that's legit my thought. edit- clarity

@serenaxo84 I have a Baby List too and love it since you can collect stuff from everywhere, like Etsy and places where registries aren't as popular, and keep it all in one place so you don't forget what you wanted from where.

Re: FFFC 07.15.2016
It better be good! I was sorely disappointed with how the original movie deviated from the novel.
