call the doctors office AGAIN

I have been one of those patients that calls over everything freaking out, especially since this pregnancy has been different from my other two. For example 2 weeks ago I had to go to L&D due to spotting and it was just that we were having too much sex. So I kind of feel like I am over exaggerating at this point when I call over little things.

Fast forward to this morning, I had a doctors appointment with the glucose screening test and left not feeling very good, so I took the day off from work. When I got home I had a horrible experience, someone was trying to break into my house while I was in there alone. I have never experienced anything like it before and had all sorts of anxiety and panic. The Sheriff had EMS come and check my vitals and everything was with in their normal range. After it was all done I physically felt okay just anxious. However with in the last hour I have been feeling cramps stronger than I have felt recently (no spotting or nausea).

I don't know if I should call the doctors office again, go to L& D, or just try calm my anxiety down and drink more water.

If there's no spotting, there's not really cause for concern.

    Hydrate, lay down, RELAX.

  • That's so scary about the break-in!  I agree with @CopperBoom86 though.  More than likely if you call they'll just tell you to drink water and rest.  Cramping doesn't sound too out of the ordinary to me until it becomes extremely painful or you have spotting.  Glad you're ok!

  • I agree with the others. You're most likely just stressed. Make sure to drink water and if you're laying down change your position.

i can't imagine dealing with a break in!
  • That's scary about the attempted break in.

Drink lots of water and rest. If the cramping continues I would consider going in to he hooked up to the monitors to make sure you're not contracting. Thinking of you!

OMG! No medical advice here, but I'm so sorry you had to deal with an attempted break in while you were home!!!!

Are you feeling any better now?

  • So scary about the break in! How awful for that to happen while you also aren't feeling well from glucola!

As as far as cramping goes, my OB told me not to worry unless it comes in waves like contractions and I have more than four in an hour. I had cramping after my glucose test too and it ended up being ummm... a digestive situation (to not be too graphic). Id give it awhile, drink lots of water, relax. If it seems like contractions, maybe call then.
  • Lay on your left side and hydrate like crazy.

  • Thank you ladies for your response. I feel less anxious but the cramps are still there. Maybe I just need a good night sleep.
