UO 7/14

We haven't heard any unpopular opinions recently and with raising kids you know we all have a bunch of unpopular opinions.

Re: UO 7/14

  • Mine is I am looking forward to being pregnant again and hope to have another child in a year or so. I've always wanted to have kids close in age, I'm getting a little older (will be 35 this year), and I loved being pregnant (even with SPD and GD). I was so much healthier while pregnant and I felt pretty happy throughout. It's weird to want to be pregnant again, especially with some sleepless nights from my precious girl here, but regardless, I'm stoked for it.
  • My uo is that I have no desire to ever be pregnant again and don't want any more babies. We've decided two is our limit and I absolutely don't feel badly about it.

  • I'm not looking forward to my son starting kindergarten in September. Most parents I know can't wait for their kids to go back to school, but it is killing me that he'll be at full day school 5 days a week in less than two months.  He's going to be at an awesome school, but still the idea of him not being with me and his sisters for so much time is hard for me to swallow.

Mu my friends all think I'm crazy

Me too, totally agree. Although DH is back in school to start a new career so I think it'll be more like 2 years apart which is definitely a bigger age gap than I wanted!

My husband surprised me the other day when i mentioned. He said he only had one request and that was that we plan the next due date to be at least one year from this little ones birth so that he can get two more weeks of paid paternity leave. I thought he would want to space them out further but he is also really enjoying having this baby and thinks there would be a lot of benefit to having them close in age.
  • I find it odd that I hated being pregnant and couldn't wait to give birth...and now I find myself missing pregnancy. Haha. Babies are so much easier to manage when they are in the womb!  I absolutely do NOT plan to have anymore babies and am perfectly content with the one we have. My birth control pills are sitting in my medicine cabinet waiting for me!!
  • My UO is that I CANNOT wait to stop pumping. The only thing keeping me from going straight to formula is the cost.Seriously can't wait for my husband's raise to kick in!!!
  • LO is having a growth spurt and I have been nursing her constantly the last 2 days. My normally sleep through the night, scheduled, always content baby has disappeared.

The UO is that I just left her with her father to get a mani/pedi. There are bottles in the fridge, and I'm only 2 miles away but I needed some me time desperately!

    ....Also mom guilt is REAL
I need this desperately. Haven't started bottle feeding yet, but I plan to start pumping so DH can feed/bond with her and I can get a break. Only 2 1/2 weeks pp.

  • I went to get a pedicure and I just put baby in the bjorn and he slept the entire time.  Don't judge me. :# Haha.

My LO is 3 weeks today, takes a bottle great and it hasn't affected BFing at all! She still prefers nursing but being able to give her a bottle is amazing for my sanity. We use the Medela bottles FWIW
