Ladies,
Im freaking out here. I had my 33 week ultrasound yesterday, and was told my baby's tummy is measuring small in 10% percentile. Her head and everything else seems fine, and she was on track at 28 weeks ( she was measuring average). Also, my fluid was borderline low.... so a lot of concerns....
I do have a bicornuate uterus, so that doesnt help either I guess. The doctor told me to come back next week for another growth ultrasound. Did anyone had that happen?
I appreciate your help!
Re: Baby's tummy measuring small
Had a growth scan at 28 weeks and all looked good (90th percentile!) had a follow up growth scan at 32 weeks and baby had dropped to 15th percentile - cue panicking from all sides as it was his tummy that hadn't grown much but head and everything else had grown normally. Had a fluid and cord check the following week and then a 3rd growth scan at 34 weeks. Baby's tummy had increased significantly and he was back up to 50th centile! Dr's reckon he just had a late growth spurt. Anyway last scan at 36 weeks and he's back up to 80th centile and all is looking good.
I guess as hard as it is at the time, try not to panic until you have had several growth scans ideally a 2-3 weeks apart so baby's had time for his growth spurts. Do ask them to monitor your fluid and cord levels regularly tho.
Good luck! Xx
went back today at 35 weeks and he was back on track!
From what my specialist said sometimes the stomach has a late growth spurt so try and not worry to much!
