@DrillSergeantCat how's your LO acting as far as development? I ask because I've been told that babies move quickly when your expecting another "getting it out of the way". Or is that another wives tell I can X off the list? Lol
Hey congrats! Your babies will be so close! They won't remember a time without one another! I hope you have a great easy pregnancy! Keep us posted on your due date:) I am interested to hear how they date it since you never had a period. So excited for you.
Congratulations! I can imagine the stress and anxiety here. Thinking of you and praying for an easy pregnancy. It's so weird we will be sharing you with another birthmonth board!
A friend of mine has kids who are 13 months apart. She did it on purpose because she and her brother are just 11 months apart and were super close growing up. She wanted the same experience for her kids. According to her, it's pretty intense to manage while they're both babies, but much easier and lots of fun as they get older and keep each other busy.
All I can say is she's very happy. Wishing you all the best, too!

He's on track if not maybe a little behind. He doesn't roll over either direction, he can sit up unassisted for a few seconds though.
Congrats!!! I was nauseous last week too so I bought a test and it was negative. Still no period here either. They will be close, hopefully they will grown-up as best friends! I promise to definitely say some prayers if comfort and wisdom for you.

Old wives tale #139572626537 debunked! Like PP said at least they will be close in age. My sister and I are 18 months apart. It wasn't always pretty and I'm sure we drove out mom insane lol but we have great memories!
Congrats! Lots of fun headed your way! My boys are 17 months apart and I love it.
@kinnonam that was definitely not true in my case! DS1 was a LATE walker. He didn't walk until 17 months old, actually took off (more than the usual timid 3-4 steps) walking the day after we brought DS2 home from the hospital. Way to stress out Mom who was trying to nurse a newborn and keep him from falling & busting his head lol
My biggest issue with this happening now is that I'm almost done with school and was planning on starting my job search when I was done, but now I'll need to stay here for my benefits. I'm looking at it as time to study for my CPA.
On another note: I just pissed off my OB's nurse by refusing to stop breastfeeding that little cutie in my profile pic.

Wait, what??? Why would she think you had to stop breastfeeding? You need to make sure the OB knows about that. That's terrible advice (and treatment!)
She said that breastfeeding can cause a miscarriage. I've researched this quite a bit since then and found there's absolutely zero proof of that occurring. I understand why she would think that, but it's based on old science that says since breastfeeding releases oxytocin and oxytocin causes contractions that can cause a miscarriage. The only time I've found that as a possibility is if mother has been put on pelvic rest.
The natural processes that some medical professionals try to interfere with never cease to amaze me. Keep feeding that beautiful baby. Go to a La Leche League meeting if you want some good advice. This topic has come up a lot at my meetings and there are a few women there still nursing a 2 year old and their newborn without incident.
LLLI was one of the sites I found my information on. KellyMom and Mayo Clinic also say it's fine, but to be sure to eat really healthy since I'm now "eating" for 3.
Congrats! I'm sure you're overwhelmed, but yoj can do it! Your children will be best friends! Can't wait to see your announcement photo! Make sure you come back and share with us!
I started having nausea and thought oh no I can't be pregnant again- so I bought a test and it was negative.
If you don't mind my asking, what were you using for BC? I got pregnant while taking the pill, so I am super nervous as I'm taking the pill again now.

I wasn't. I started on seasonique but it almost immediately affected my milk supply so I stopped it.

I took that before and my cycle was all kinds of screwed up, so I can only imagine how it would make your milk supply all kinds of screwed up too! Better to be off of it!
@MichelleAG05 my fiance is so excited. The Sunday before we found out, he actually said that he hoped he "hit it hard enough to knock the stem off the apple." I'm the only one slightly freaking out.
Re: Just found out I'm pregnant again
ETA: Congratulations!!! Ugh what a massive brain skip I had by not saying that first!
1) CONGRATS
2) Omg how far along are you? *if you don't mind sharing*
I have no idea. I haven't had a period since Harrison was born, but the nausea started Friday so I'm guessing around 6 weeks.

Mostly though, congrats!

After the deed the other night, DH said "I didn't do my part. Please don't get pregnant." LOL
