PSA- Potential Free Books

My sister is a pre-K teacher, and she clued me in to a cool program today. Once your baby is born (or now if you already have a little), go to imaginationlibrary.com where you can register to have a free book sent every month from birth until age 5. The only thing is you have to live in a qualifying area and I'm not sure how that's determined, but it's worth a quick zip code check if you love free books! :) FTMs, we can't register til baby has an actual birthdate, but I figured I'd post now for mamas who already have littles under 5. 

P.S. There are options in Canada and the U.K., in addition to the US :)

    It's legitimate. I've used it before with my other children.

    I've used it with my boys.. :) the books can be a little out there, but we've gotten some good ones too! :)

    We did this and loved it but our local affiliate stopped doing it :( it's not very common in our area. Other than getting quite a few repeats it's really fun for the kids to get the books.

    We signed up DD and got all the books ... So will there be different ones if I sign up DS? I wondered about this.

    I just posted about this yesterday. It's great, both of my boys are/were signed up. You don't always get great books but you get one every month for 5 years so you will get quite a few good ones and they're FREE. Also, it isn't in all areas but it's expanded quite a bit since my oldest was born in 2003. At that time, it was only available in a few counties in my state!

    @mommathoner I think it depends on how long it's been. I got completely different books with my two because it had been a while, maybe 6 years between my oldest's last book and my youngest first book. If yours are fairly close, you may get some repeats, I'm not sure.

    Yes, we got lots of repeats and my oldest two are 23 months apart.

    We get two of the same book every month, since we have twins. I think the books are so cute. The girls love them too.

    Not available by me - so bummed! I'm surprised, since I'm in Houston, which is a big place.
