Hi all, I am 38 and TTC for 3 yrs. No known issues, just unexplained, possibly due to age. However after 5 failed cycle monitoring, 4 failed IUI, just completed my first IVF FET and now I have 6 days until my pregnancy test. My Extraction resulted in 20 eggs retrieved, and 16 successful day 5 blasts! Great news, yes so they say. This cycle we just transferred a SET grade 2AA (was 3AA before thawing) and we did assisted hatching. I know AA is good, but not sure about the 2? Have mild symptoms but could be the Estrogen/Progesterone, daily cramping, mild nausea, tired all the time and my breasts are really sore and swollen.... I love reading all the successes on here, some of you have overcome HUGE obstacles, I hope to join the success feeds but also can't help but wonder, what my Blast good enough?
Re: 38 TTC - IVF FET #1 complete
Welcome to the boards and I hope your stay is short!
If I am remembering correctly, the number has to do with kind of what stage they are (how "hatched".) AA is fantastic. Plenty of healthy, happy babies are born from numbers all over the place, so try not to worry too much (haha, I know, right?!)
FX for you!
---Trigger warning---
TTC since April 2013
Two cancelled IUIs in Aug and Sept '15 due to low motility/count
IVF round 1: January 2016
ER: February 17, 2016; 9 retrieved, 7 mature, 7 fertilized
Day 5 Blastocysts: 5 BB, 1 AB, all normal from PGS
FET date: May 11, '16; transferred 1 AB embryo
First beta: May 23, '16: 998!! Second: May 25, '16: 1648
EDD: January 27, 2017
Remember that Day 5 blasts are tough little buggers for surviving thus far. You've got to believe that at least one of them is going to be your BFP.
