March 2017 Moms

Scared.

This is my second pregnancy and I'm so much more scared this time around. I've been exhausted but today I woke up not tired at all. I worry something might be going wrong. Has anyone else experienced this and their pregnancy still been ok? I feel silly asking.

Re: Scared.

  • I've had a couple of days like that. I think it's normal for symptoms to kinda ebb and flow.

  • I'm in the same boat. I don't remember feeling nervous at all last time, but I was also sick all of the time. This time, I feel relatively well and a little like I'm on eggshells. I'm assuming it's just getting older and being more aware of all of the "what ifs" this go around. All we can do is keep our FX for a H&H 9 months, but you're not alone!!! ❤️
  • I feel the exact same way! I feel much better than I did with my first pregnancy, and the lack of symptoms is driving me crazy. We told our family right away last time, but I find myself being much more hesitant to say anything this time because I don't "feel pregnant". My doc said that the breasts tend to be less sensitive in a 2nd pregnancy, but it's unnerving to have no symptoms other than a bit more tired than usual.

It's normal to worry, especially in the early stage of pregnancy. But remember that every woman and every pregnancy is different. Symptoms come and go, and do not mark whether a pregnancy is healthy or not. Some experience myriad symptoms and still have a loss; others have no symptoms and give birth to perfectly healthy babies.

If you haven't already, I'd suggest reading the pinned thread Welcome to March 2017: READ THIS FIRST and consider introducing yourself in our INTRO & EDD thread, then joining us on our threads, including our weekly symptoms one.

ETA: Saw you on our spreadsheet, so I must've just missed your intro!

This is me pretty much daily. This is my first pregnancy and I am not at all an anxious or nervous person, but damn I freak out almost every day regardless of whether I'm having tons of symptoms or none at all.

I I try to remind myself when I'm starting to get worked up that the odds of something bad happening are so low, and that everything is fine.

Good luck, and H&H 9 months!!
