Yellow eyes??

Every day DH has come home from work and said my eyes look yellow. Whaaat? It's been 3 days now. I'm on reglan and zofran maybe from them?

I have no real knowledge about this but my instinct would be to call your OB. Yellow eyes can be liver related, I think, but again I'm no expert at all.

Yeah I'm definitely calling in the morning. Was just hoping maybe someone would be like "oh yeah that totally happens" lol
Dr. Google says hyperemesis can cause jaundice. Hmm.

I'm definitely thinking the liver is tied in there somehow. Hope all goes well! Any news yet?

I have this weird thing called Gilbert's syndrome where when I don't eat enough or I'm super tired my eyes turn yellow. Have you ever had a high billarubin?

Yellow eyes can be a sign of jaundice-  which is from liver abnormalities.  A variety of things can cause it- gallstones being one that our age can have in addition to so many other things that it's not worth naming.  Call and get seen for some bloodwork.  And PerraSucia- Gilbert's is a harmless condition where when stressed your body can't process bilirubin correctly temporarily.  Often seen in Northern European ancestry.

My first thought is that it could be jaundice so I'm with PP that you should definitely call the doctor this morning. FX it's nothing too serious and I hope you get some answers today!

Gilbert's was what I was going to suggest too. DH has it (his whole family does) and his eyes and skin get yellow every once in while. It doesn't affect day to day life at all though. I would definitely call your ob though since they might want to check your liver levels and adjust diet or supplements accordingly.

OB directed me towards my primary so I'm going in for blood work this morning. Ugh, fingers crossed!

Thanks guys they had me stop taking reglan for now and also took blood. Hoping the results are back before the end of the day!

Oh thanks guys! I went to the ER yesterday for my morning sickness and they ran a blood panel and everything came back normal. So strange! So it's not my liver at least but they are still a little yellow!
