  • My TW is my neighbor(s) who set off fireworks and mortars until after midnight last night. Yes, let's celebrate our independence by keeping the whole neighborhood up. My dog really liked it when they exploded above our apartment.

I apologize to everyone I come into contact with today. 37 weeks pregnant running on 4 hours of sleep, if that.
  • This carpal tunnel. It is unbearable! There is no relief and now my left hand is just as bad. At what point does actual real pain and the inability to do every day tasks like prepare meal for my family trump growing this fucking baby? I'm 40w4d. Get this fucking kid out and give me some relief!!!
  • @LF93 ummm no. I was formula fed as an infant and never had asthma or eczema. My son was breastfed for 5 months and has a horrible milk allergy which causes him severe eczema outbreaks.....  Also he was sick A LOT, even while on breastmilk. You should FF is that's what YOU WANT

Lurking from August: @LF93 she sounds like a noob doctor (seriously? Google?) Don't let her words get to you & do whatever works for you & baby.
  • @LF93 I was ff and have eczema, my brother was bf and has a ton of allergies.blaming one or the other is silly
  • @LF93 I was breastfed and had both eczema and mild asthma. Just sayin. :)
  • I'm 40 weeks today also. Toronto has extreme heat warning. I'm staying in bed in think lol
  • Being wide awake at night and sleepy during the day.

Thanks for the words ladies :) It was so annoying her trying to force something on me when clearly I had no interest in what she had to say. I'm less than three weeks to my due date, I know what I want at this stage. Its safe to say I'll be going out of my way to see my normal doc next time! Plus, asthma and dry skin (psoriasis) run in both sides of the family so her logic was just stupid.

@MamaBish I think she's only filling in for another doctor for the week, thankfully. I'm guessing they only had her see me because they were busy but still, considering the issue wasn't something that concerned my normal doctor, I don't understand why it bothered her. Plus my own doctor was directly across the hall if she was that worried!

  • @LF93 unbelievable! Sorry you had to deal with that.

My giant appetite is a TW now. I thought it was bad when I was pregnant, but now that I'm BFing, I feel like I am constantly hungrier than I've ever been. And of course being as busy as we are with E, we haven't gotten a chance to go grocery shopping. This all makes me cranky, and I feel bad for DH when he's dealing with me and a crying baby. So I guess I'm a TW, too.
  • @schaze yes! I am so hungry all the time! Luckily my husband is a literal fucking saint and is constantly bringing me snacks.

I'm probably the twat today, my husband is on hold with my insurance trying to get Milo added and has been for like an hour. I was supposed to call today but I was tired so he did it for me and now I'm lying here bumping and I can hear he's still on hold but I still don't want to get up...
  • @schaze Are there grocery delivery services in your area? Instacart has been a lifesaver a few times this pregnancy and I suspect I'll use it more than I should PP. It's not something we can afford all the time but the $5.99 delivery fee is so worth it once in a while!

Pretty much everyone and everything is my twat today... Myself, DH, my family, the fact that it's almost 90* at 10 am, blah blah blah. I'm just done with today and it hasn't even started.

I'm hot, tired (but can't sleep), uncomfortable, whiney and just generally over being pregnant. My husband has never looked more relieved than he did when he headed out to run some errands this morning. I suspect I'm the TW.
  • @PootsDragon next person that asks you that needs a slap to the face and you deserve a big drink at the end of today!!

  • I haven't even reached my due date yet and I'm already sick of everyone asking when I think baby will come or commenting on how I'm still at work/no baby yet. Kudos to you ladies that are super close to your due date or still cooking that LO! How you've managed to not smack someone is beyond me - it was the first thing I wanted to do this morning and I told the person that!

  • @AshGee18 I didn't realize there were any other Toronto moms!  I had to go downtown for the doc today and Yonge station felt like rubbing myself in someone's armpit
  • My body is a TW.  I've been feeling really sick the last couple days, headache dizzy nausea, etc.  My BP was elevated this morning at my appointment so I was sent to L+D right away with a concern of pre-eclampsia.  Got to the hospital and BP is picture perfect but I still feel like shit.  My labs are all great too.  So they have no idea what's actually wrong and I just feel sick.  I'm seriously just hoping I'm going to go into labor at this point because I cannot feel this sick for the next 3 weeks.

  • @megstervt I hope you feel better!  I had no idea just how uncomfortable I could be
  • @megstervt that sounds awful but I'm so glad your labs came back great. Take it easy and get some rest. I'm right there with you about going to labor early. Trying to keep my mind off of it for now.

  • Thanks guys.  The weird part is I don't actually feel that bad pregnancy wise.  I'm not really sore or in pain, I just feel sick.  I kept telling the doctor today I feel like I just got home from a night of binge drinking without the fun night.  Sluggish, heavy, dizzy, etc.  I would take my sore hips and sciatica back over this crap!

  • @megstervt, I'm glad to hear that your labs came back ok. Hopefully you will start feeling better soon!

My OB is the TW today. I went in for my weekly check up. I will be 37 weeks tomorrow and I had been having some painful contractions since early this morning. She goes to do a cervical check and I swear she was digging for gold. I had one last week that didn't hurt at all, so I'm not sure what changed because she said I still hadn't progressed at all. She then tells me that she tried to do a membrane sweep, but she couldn't get her finger in there. I'm a little pissed because I'm already scheduled to be induced next Wednesday, which I'm not thrilled about, but it's medically necessary. I can't understand why she would try to bring labor on another week sooner.

@Mbondi0 I had similar! My 36 week cervix check wasn't painful at all, but this one today (37) was.  Hadn't progressed any, and, since doc was telling me she's hoping for my (supposedly) giant baby to come early, I had to wonder if she was tryin to speed things along...

eta twatwaffle: me. This is my last week of work, and I needed to work yesterday and didn't. Then, I didn't sleep more than 4 hours. Brain not functioning, but so so much to do...
  • @LF93 and @hreed7289 I always thought that the doctor would ask permission or at least inform me of their intent before doing a membrane sweep. There are only two docs at my OB practice and the other doc did my check last week. The only explanation I was given today is that it would be better for me if I went in to labor on my own so I guess she was trying to help. I just would have liked a heads up as well as the chance to say "No thank you ".
  • ADP/Payroll is my TW. I don't process payroll, ever, but I have a nice little "How To". I imported hours for one of our locations, and for some reason the hours are doubling. No, no, not paying everyone double, sorry! Trying to get a coworker who used to do payroll to give me some suggestions!

    Damn you, ADP.
  • @Mbondi0 WTH?! I'd be so pissed! I can't believe they didn't ask you! Sounds like time to talk about consent...
