has your doc told you to abstain from sex either so many days before or after iui ?

You should ask your doctor as it can vary depending on your circumstances (MFI comes to mind as a reason you might be told to abstain). My RE has told us to BD the night of the trigger shot (36 hrs pre IUI), abstain the night before the IUI, and then BD the evening after the IUI. GL!

My clinic said we could BD right up until night before IUI (for 3pm IUI).  We have no MFI though, so would think it may be different with that.

We are dealing with male factor infertility as well and were told to BD the eve of trigger shot, 24-36 hrs before IUI. We didn't do anything after IUI because I was on vaginal progesterone and my Dr asked us to abstain.

I was to BD on night of trigger. Then BD the night after IUI.

We abstained 4 days before IUI for my 3rd time, and sperm count jumped to 81 million post wash (vs. 15 million last time). It made a huge difference.

We have MFI and were told to abstain from positive opk until after IUI

We were told that DH should abstain from ejaculation at least 2 days, but not more than 7 days, prior to both of our IUIs.
