I know this may be a TMI question....but is anyone getting a brazillian before giving birth? I know they say the increased blood flow to that region makes things extra sensitive. I feel like it would be worth it to have the cute toes done, the pink blush maternity robe and your vajayjay...well....not a wild jungle. I am 50/50 on it. Maybe if I sit on an ice pack on my way to the appointment it wouldn't be so bad. Lol!
Re: Brazillian Wax at 8 months???
If you do care, keep in mind everyone reacts differently during pregnancy. I've always waxed on my face and nether region and I stopped during pregnancy because my skin is more sensitive and I had lots of bleeding and red bumps that lasted for days, not cute. You might be totally fine though. I certainly wouldn't take the risk myself if I cared how my vagina looked during childbirth.
I actually did keigels when I got laser to help distract myself. Will be starting over in October :-)
I am not planning on any action happening around my due date or for a pretty long time after, so the pain is no where near worth it to me. Seeing how the doctors will most likely be cleaning up poop, I don't think a bit of hair will be the worst thing they have to deal with.
OP, it's not what I would do, but there is nothing about childbirth that feels pretty or glamorous. If this will make you feel better, go for it. (I did have a cute pedi during my first childbirth. Nobody noticed it, and I only remember it because it was part of my birthday present that year from my husband. I would like to do it again, but for the pampering aspect.)

If I do decide to keep going, appreciate the post baby clean up points - I didn't even think about that.
I can vouch for hard wax though, that stuff works and it doesn't really hurt that bad. Take a couple of Tylenol before you go, wear a maxi dress and don't wear undies after.
Good luck!

If you want to do it for you, I say go for it. But if it's more for the hospital staff, I'd say skip it.
there was another topic on this recently and I posted this, so some is a repeat...
I was a Brazilian regular before pregnancy (sugaring), and it hurt so bad during pregnancy I stopped going. My esthetician commented that it's more painful for a lot of pregnant women - I was sweating and flinching it hurt so bad and there is no way I will subject myself to that again while pregnant. A personal hair trimmer is helping me keep things under control.
My skin is sensitive and sometimes I get ingrown hairs or bumps randomly with a Brazilian, and I would rather deal with a little hair than that happening after birth!
I can't believe it didn't hurt more than it did. My aesthetician is bomb, I've used her before. Probably over a year since my last BW and 6 months since last bikini wax so i totally expected it to be awful. So, goes to show you - can't plan on anything during pregnancy. I made an appointment for 5 weeks from now (1 week before I'm induced). it's not for the staff, it's for me. i just feel stinky already and the summer heat is not helping me feel fresh.
