So the other day at work I was talking with someone and I was like, "I bet this is what
@somerandombumpuser looks like.". Thankfully this was all in my head, but I was slightly disturbed at my level of bump investment.
Has anyone else ever thought this? Am I completely losing my mind in the world of IF and TTCAL?!?
What are your "You know you spend too much time on the bump when..." thoughts?
Re: You know you spend too much time on the bump when....
You know you spend too much time on the bump when...you check and are actually a little pissed that there's no new updates to read. Lol

When something good/bad ttc happens...BDing all weekend? You ladies and my H know lol
I've had different home bases on the internet over the years - in fact one person I've known since she was 14 and she came to stay with us all last summer and visited at Christmas and she's trying to get into grad school here to live with us next year- but this is the loveliest, most supportive corner I've ever found.
Which means I check back a lot more than seems normal. Of course DH knows about all your struggles and triumphs, too! He asks for updates when I forget. At first he just saw the tab and thought it was weird I was so invested in a website about our public transit system (TTC: Toronto Transit Commission), but he knows what's up now.

I have "shower thoughts" sometimes (nothing weird, I promise) and once I pondered how we'd all get along whist sipping coffee, tea, or italian sodas at a cafe. Would I know who was who immediately on sight and/or after a brief interaction? Another random thought I had once was how crazy it would be to realize you knew someone IRL on TB. Like, you're talking to someone, and you go, "Wait, where you are from..." And then you PM them and you're like, "It's me! Your friendly neighbor! Wasssup!" (Assuming it's someone you'd want to reveal self to)
Maybe I take too long of showers.

@SnobunnieMel I was talking to my RE the other day about OPKS, my LP, and RPL. Luckily she speaks the language so she gets it. Most normal people do not!

One time at dinner, my friend and I explained all the TTC abbreviations to DH and his best friend. It was a hilarious conversation. It all seems so normal to me now and I realize it absolutely is not!

Sometimes I wish it was possible to do the @ sign with nicknames of our usernames - esp. since on mobile, the @ tagging doesn't always pull up suggestions. Don't worry, @reneeannemm in this fantasy tagging, your Bump nickname would just be "Renee". @chloe97 your Bump nickname would be "NotChloe"!
I'm also in BabyCenter because they have some very specific boards (Triploidy Loss, RPL, NIPT testing etc) that helped a lot when I was going through my last dramatic loss. They don't allow tagging, which is weird. Some of those threads are 4 years old with 4000+ posts, it's so confusing to wade through. You can reply directly to one post in a thread, but not multiple people which clogs up the thread if you have multiple comments to make. I end up putting @ in front of people's user names, I'm sure they think I'm crazy.
Woops! Teacher + first week of summer break = too much downtime that is not spent responsibly.
I also do the talking / texting in acronyms part A LOT. My favorite is when my phone autocorrects a normal word to something TTC related. And my DH also frequently asks how my "bump friends" are doing and who has gotten BFPs recently!
