I just wanted to rave for a minute and thank my LO for letting me sleep for seven straight hours last night!  I woke up so refreshed.. hadn't felt that in weeks/months.  As soon as I woke up, he started moving around as well, so maybe he was tired from the first 10-hour day of work for the week, too.

Thank you.  I was dumbfounded and so excited when my alarm went off this morning.  Now, this totally doesn't make up for all the other times I've had a restless night of sleep, and I may be in for it tonight.  I'm being appreciative of just this one night and the LO.  I miss my tummy/back sleeping time so much.

Yeah, I catch myself sleeping on my back sometimes, which I think is why I keep waking up. I'm going to by a fluffy body pillow and see if that helps me stay on my side.

@Piperella A good night of sleep is so amazing. Glad you were able to get in a full 7 uninterrupted hours! 

I tend to wake up at least 3-4 times each night these days to use the bathroom. It's an odd feeling because I usually sleep like a log through the night. The other day I woke up only once closer to dawn and it was so refreshing. 

@dragonfaerie I do the same thing because I used to sleep on my back mostly until now. I keep wondering if it's too early to get a body pillow, so I'll ask my OB today at what point should back sleeping be completely avoided.

@Tulips29 My RE nurse told me (if I remember correctly) that it's 2nd into 3rd trimester. She said I'll be able to tell when it's time, because the baby will be laying on a major vein that will make me go numb. I told her I was going to get a body pillow soon and she agreed that it would help me stay on my side. So many things to remember and ask!

If you guys took/are taking a babymoon, when did/will you go? I want to go to a B&B for a long weekend, and just want to make sure I get that planned in advance.

I would love a babymoon. Not sure when, but maybe around September-ish. Would love to do something relaxing, like a beach vacation to just lay around and do nothing. Might have to be Florida or some other beach town, since Caribbean is all Zika-infested. I'm in NYC and we have cruises that leave from New York/New Jersey, but most of them go down south to the Caribbean. Maybe we'll take one up north. I just want it to be somewhere warm

@Tulips29 Yes! I would so love to be warm. Here in Colorado it's hit or miss whether September/October feels like summer, or winter.

@dragonfaerie I don't know where in Colorado you are, but is Arizona an option? I hear they have some nice resort-like places where you can relax, be pampered and enjoy the warm weather.

Maybe...   I'll have to look into that. We don't want to spend a ton of money but I definitely want a nice little vacation.

@tvh1982 It's a mini vacation you take before baby comes so you can have one last just you and DH (and your bump)

I went right around Week 20 to NYC... funny that @Tulips29 is trying to escape there when that's where I went for my babymoon.  We took Amtrak up and back from Virginia.  It was a great time as I wasn't feeling sick, I wanted to eat all the foods, and we got to do lots of walking, sightseeing, and touristy stuff.  I did say though that on our next (haha) adult only vacation, I wouldn't be opposed to just taking it super easy somewhere.  My DH was shocked. I think a B&B sounds wonderful, @dragonfaerie!

@Tulips29 - My OB told me last week that starting at 16 weeks you can't sleep on your back. 
@dragonfaerie - if you pick Arizona, be careful of the timing. It's still pretty hot in September into October. The evenings are great in October but it could easily still be in the high 90's... Northern AZ would be cooler though. Sedona is beautiful. Tons of great hiking (lots of easy ones), cute little downtown. I would say a bunch of wine tasting places but obviously that's not an option

We are headed to Durango/Pagosa Springs next month which is early but I'll have to consider that my babymoon. Our new house is supposed to be finished in October and then I won't really be able to travel Nov/Dec.

@Piperella haha, those are the exact reasons I would escape this crazy city! I'd be perfectly happy laying on a beach somewhere for a few days I hope you enjoyed NYC though and I give you lots of credit for bearing with so much walking and touristy stuff at 20 weeks.

@Griffin5413 Thank you for the feedback! We'll probably end up staying in Colorado. It's just easier and cheaper. Maybe I'll find a place near a spa that does mommy-to-be massages.

Randomness for the day: I know I haven't been myself lately (God bless hormones) but I don't feel like I've been a terrible person. I had to have conversation with my coworker about the way she's been talking to me, and she said she feels like I've been in a bad mood constantly. I did remind her that I'm pregnant so I can be a bit off, and I apologized (even though I don't feel that I've been nasty.) She didn't really apologize for how she's been talking to me, but at least we got everything out in the open. I'm hoping that it gets better, but honestly, I really don't want to deal with this crap.

I decided I was going to go buy a body pillow to help me sleep better on my side. The one that Bed, Bath and Beyond had was not firm enough, so DH made me try the Snoogle. I told him "I am NOT spending $60 on a glorified body pillow!" but he insisted I at least try it out. You guys, I ended up with the dang Snoogle. It was SO comfy! DH just laughed at me and said "the baby needs it, it's an investment." I feel so ridiculous having bought it, but I slept so good last night.

So I had a very light brown discharge when I just wiped I'm 12 weeks today not going to stress but a little freaked it's been a while but I go to high risk dr tmrw. Plus I don't have cramping or anything

@dragonfaerie I was looking at body pillows today after my doctor told me last night to just get one now so I can get used to sleeping on my side. Can you post a link of the one you got?

I love my snoogle and got it when I was only 10 or 11 weeks to help train me to sleep on my side. I still frequently wind up on my back, but the snoogle is so comfortable! 

So, I was incredibly spoiled at my baby shower and got a bouncer, swing, and rock n play. I've heard great things about the rock n play, so I'm pretty sure we'll keep it. But, I find it hard to believe we'd need both a bouncer and swing in addition to the RnP. Has anyone heard or does any have personal opinions on which of these items we should keep?

@riveridgional - my 3 yo LOVED the swing.  It was a godsend.  She was in her bouncy seat maybe 5 times total - mostly at the cabin when we needed a safe place to set her down.  But, I've also heard of kids who don't like the swing.  So, unfortunately, I'm of no help.  I did buy a second swing used though, in case these babies both love the swing as much as my first did.

@emsmama15 Thanks for the tip! Everything I've read online basically sums up to "every kid is different", but it seems like the bouncer may be the least popular. I'm just so indecisive especially with baby gear!

@dragonfaerie I went to BB&Beyond last night and got that pillow. It's very comfortable, but I made one mistake. I left my regular pillow under the snoogle and woke up in the middle of the night with a neck cramp. Took the regular pillow away and was fine in the morning. It was kind of weird sleeping in the same position the whole night but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I know this is super random but I just realized something . Wondering if anyone else feels this way - maybe I'm just weird . Since getting pregnant I don't really want to be around people a lot . It's not because I'm annoyed with them necessarily or feeling cranky per se but I'm just really content being alone . I used to do things with friends 1-2x a week and now I am fine going a long time  without doing anything social . Leaving the house just doesn't appeal to me , haha . It doesn't help that is hot as hell here .

dragonfaerie  - I love my Snoogle too! It was definitely worth the $. It's hard enough to get good sleep when I am up 2-3 times during the night anyway. 
@riveridgional - I am just now starting to look at registry stuff. Did you register for all 3 or did people just get those for you? I'm wondering if I should register for a few different ones.

@Tulips29 I'm glad you liked it! It definitely takes some getting used to, but when I get up to use the bathroom I'll usually flop onto my other side. I'm usually a multiple pillow person, so it was weird to get rid of my usual pillow (which is one of the ergonomic ones) and my knee pillow and just use the Snoogle.

@mskeenan You know, I haven't been that sociable either. I think it's because I'm so tired and going to bed early, so the thought of being involved in any evening activity does not appeal. I want to see people, but then the effort is too much so I just kinda shrug and move on.

@Griffin5413 I couldn't believe that I would EVER feel like I could justify such an expensive pillow, but I am SO GLAD already I got it. I didn't sleep well last night because my hips were hurting and I was having weird stressful dreams, but it's definitely cozy.

@ultratomato I have some VERY light spotting yesterday (I'll be 12 wks tmrw). Neither of my docs were concerned by it, so I didn't worry either. It stopped after about a half hour.

@tvh1982 and @vssbrm thanks for checking up on me high risk dr said that it is ok the babies look great and they did the scan of the neck and no indication of Down syndrome. I almost cried seeing the one baby waving his or her arm. We also decided against doing the test to figure out the sex because it is hard to determine sex for twins so we will wait till 16 weeks just happy that their ok! And the tech gave my mom her own pics she was so excited

@ultratomato what a relief it must be to hear that all is well and your babies are ok. I feel like im still traumatized from the spotting I had 3 weeks ago. I look down every time I wipe in fear I'll see it again. It's aweful. I'm glad to hear your appointment went well though!

@Griffin5413 I registered for all 3, thinking we wouldn't get all 3, but we did. I also figured if we did get all 3, we'd be able to return one and use that money to help purchase other items we needed. Figuring out the one to return is the hard part...

I only saw your post now @mskeenan. I am way less social too. Not sure it's people, me being exhausted or all the smells. 
But I'm much rather alone at home or running errands with no interruptions.
