Some help please

Hello... this is my first experience with an online message board or group. I don't do any social media due to the drama. But thanks to some recent uncomfortable unwanted public stuff I'd like to figure out how to private message people on the bump. I have tried twice to send private messages but so far no answer. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or if possibly people don't know they receive private messages. I would feel a lot more mature being able to have a private dispute or even maybe just ask 1 person about a private matter rather than everything be out in the open. Especially with pregnancy hormones making me a bit more confrontational and rude than normal.

You should be able to click on the persons avatar and the option to send a PM should come up.

Thank you, I believe I sent the messages properly. Do you know what happens if I get a private message? Will I receive a notification or do I have to go into my inbox and check for it?

@cinderin lol I didn't think about how it seemed dramatic asking for help publicly. I just wasn't sure if I was doing the messages right or not so I needed to figure out a way to get help

I use the app and I'm slowly understanding it, but somethings I'm not sure of.

I just have more fun reading everything out in the open (basically I'm nosey). Plus sometimes when people argue I like seeing both sides of the story. But the inbox button is at the top right on the app. I know I never check mine but like once a month because people rarely private message. But you can always tag the person in a comment and tell them to check their inbox so they know they have a message.

If you're on mobile, you won't get a notification.  You just have to check your inbox.

If you're on a desktop, you'll get a notification.

@joyful08 yes yes yes, I never thought about tagging them and letting them know I sent a msg... do u mind if I practice on you real quick to see if I am doing it right?

Sadly I don't get notifications on mobile either! The BG's need to fix this asap!

Actually I do get notifications if I have the app open and am surfing the boards but only then.

@joyful08 I got it figured out how! Thanks for the help! My biggest issues with the app is that it always tells me "you don't have permission to do that" and I have to exit and retype e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!!! Lol
