Ah! Congratulations @JDW0325!!! So excited for you! Best of wishes!!!
I was doing really well this cycle. Seeing as how it's my first clomid cycle and I'm anovulatory, I wasn't sure what to expect once I actually Oed and what the hormones would do to my PMS. I've always had pretty rough PMS even without Oing and was pleasantly surprised at how level I seemed 10DPO. That was until I woke up this morning (11DPO). Granted, there was a trigger from a girlfriend and I've been on the wrong side of the bed since, but I am so incredibly agitated and moody right now!
QOTW: Probably my DSLR camera closely followed by my embroidery machine.

2. What is your diagnosis? PCOS with possibly blocked tubes.
3. What is your current treatment plan? Will have laparoscopy with repeat hsg in August/September. Until then, continue as normal. Plan to be determined after surgery. (Was originally scheduled for July 2 but after much debate, decided was best to wait as I'm traveling July 5 and don't want to risk infections or complications)
QOTW: What is the most expensive thing you've ever bought just for yourself? Definitely a car.
Hi ladies! CD24- and no peak on my OPK yet I've been high since CD16. Waiting it out this month until I see my be RE July 11.
Currently sitting in my OBs waiting room for my annual with all these bellies....sigh!!
other than my cars & vacations, my most expensive thing is my lab Gus. My BF at the time would only let me get a dog if it was from the same breeder as my uncle's dog. He's 11 & the love of my life so no complaints over here. Hopefully my future baby will be worth all this $$$$$ as well

Yay! @JDW0325 I saw your posts in the IF board and I was so happy!!! Was this your first IUI? I can't remember..
I'm feeling a little down about this TWW...
Tested BFN yesterday (10dpo) and I've been having very mild cramping for a week. I will probably test again tomorrow.. just because I can't help myself.
*TW - CP & other people's babies* When I had the CP last cycle, my symptoms were actually a little different than usual, I WASN'T having the pre-AF cramping that I normally do, and 1-2 days before(12-14dpo), my breasts were tender, which is never a pms symptom for me.
SO this month, I'm symptom spotting like crazy, and feeling down because my dull cramps are typical of a BFN cycle
In brighter news, I just found out an old friend, who I just reconnected with, had her twins via IVF because of severe MFI. I'm going to hang out with her tomorrow so we can talk about her experience. This is great, because I don't know ANYONE (besides you ladies) who has gone through fertility treatments, so I'm excited to talk to her, and be encouraged that she was able to have 2 beautiful babies through the process. *End TW*
I'm so thankful for you ladies and glad to have someone to walk with during this process; Hearing your stories (the ups and the downs) really helps me take the focus off of myself, and my problems, and gives me a positive place to focus my thoughts and prayers. Praying for you all!
edited to add QOTW In reality, the most expensive thing we've bought me was my veterinary education... Uggg! For fun, probably the most expensive thing we bought that was just for me is regular horseback riding lessons

Hello, i'm 4dpiui (5th IUI) started progesterone suppositories today..not fun!! Since past 2 cycles were cancelled due to cysts I forgot what all the side effects were like and I promised myself do not symptom spot!! Ugh waiting through the TWW sucks I take beta on 7/2 but will POAS Friday 7/1...good luck ladies!
@ReesaAnne16 I hope this TWW goes by fast for you! @harleyquinn0621 good luck and hope your TWW isn't stressful symptom spotting is so hard not to do! I've been through 5 IUIs and all have have mild/moderate bloating, back pain, headache, tender breasts, trouble sleeping, extreme fatigue.
QOTW: excluding cars I would say when I was younger I spent alot on designer handbags/wallets $$$$ ouch! Have not spent that way in years though
I'm in the tww, had IUI#2 last Friday and my beta will be July 1st. Just

@JDW0325 Glad to hear all is going well! Best of luck to you in this new chapter

I hope you feel better soon! I have been moody on and off since my IUI,
definitely putting the blame on all the hormones. You should definitely
treat yourself and go get a soft pretzel
@sarah0985 Where are you traveling? I hope you have a great time!

It's so hard seeing bellies everywhere, I think I notice them a lot
more now than I used to! I had my annual recently but my gyn doesn't do

Sorry to hear you are feeling down about this cycle, I tend to start
feeling discouraged too around 10dpo. That's great you are able to talk
with someone who's also gone through this journey, I have a couple friends
who are either going through it or have had to deal with it in the past,
and it's always comforting to be able to talk face to face with someone
who knows what it's like. I hope talking with her helps lift your spirits!
@harleyquinn0621 Good luck on your
first IUI! I didn't have any real symptoms post-IUI, but I think it's
different for everyone. I've heard some people can have cramping or
bloating so it sounds normal.

@Starlight811 Good luck with your TWW! Also good luck with the symptom spotting every IUI that we had I was horrible about it.
@zigzag8412 love the gify first and foremost! I have similar bouts of feeling super positive and then something just sets me off. It doesn't help that we are pumped full of hormones.
I had my appointment today and they did an ultrasound and blood work. Blood came back normal (yay) but my lining is still too thick (crap). So we have to go back to the RE on Friday for a recheck and as long as I've shed enough lining we will start our stims Friday! Trying to stay positive that this will happen! I'm just so ready to start everything.
The most expensive thing I ever bought for just me was my Coach Diaper bag when I was 25. Even though I only have fur babies it is the best travel bag and I adore it. Hopefully one day I'll use it for it's intended use.

Good afternoon ladies! It looks like the beginning of July could be a really good time here!! I'd respond to everyone individually but I'm mobile and it's such a pain in the butt!
1) We have been TTC for 11 months post loss, started this whole process however in Oct '13
2) Anovulatory but thinking I may just ovulate much later than average since my loss and my progesterone checks were happening too early. Currently CD18, no positive OPK or temp spike yet but cervix is getting softer and higher so I'm hoping maybe next week sometime!
3) treatment is diet and exercise. I've been to the gym 17 of the 22 days in June. Lost a few lbs, overall just feeling much better
GTKY - I'm a huge victim of sticker shock, I just cannot manage to buy expensive things for myself. Definitely treated myself to plenty of vacations, concerts, etc. I have a new car but DH actually picked it out and put the down payment on it..I just make the payments now...so I guess I'd have to say the most expensive thing I've bought for myself was my wedding dress.

@ReesaAnne16 I too am symptom spotting like crazy this month. This is only my second legit TWW ever, I started testing this morning and will keep on going because I just can't help myself.
I am 8dpo, took a test this morning and, of course, BFN. Last cycle at 9dpo my temps dropped and i started spotting. Hopefully tomorrow at 9dpo I will wake up with temps still elevated. I bought some early cheapie pregnancy tests, I refuse to buy FRER. I am full on in baby crazy mode. I have been planning my registry and looking at everything online. I went through this last fall and then just got so disheartened with everything. There was a point where I couldn't even walk by the baby section in target. I painted the will be baby room this past spring in a nice gender neutral green. Hopefully I can soon put some baby stuff in it!

I am am getting really frustrated and upset easily. One of my friends just found out they were pregnant and I am having a hard time being happy for them. My FI is getting frustrated too. He thinks it's his fault that we haven't gotten pregnant. It's really becoming tense and stressful between us because of my body deciding not to ovulate.
@Samanthaarielxo i'm so sorry you didn't ovulate- i know how frustrating it is when your body just won't do what it is designed to do. i hope this next cycle goes better for you. TTC can be very hard on a relationship... FX for you guys!

@Samanthaarielxo I'm sorry you didn't ovulate. I know how frustrating that can be.
This was my first cycle on letrozole. I went Monday to chest my follies, and they weren't big enough. I'm going again tomorrow to see maybe if they grew enough. If yes, then I will do the trigger shot and we will have to do TI because we are going on vacation and won't be in town to do the IUI which we had originally planned to do this week had there been a nice follie Monday. If the follie isn't any bigger, then we cancel the cycle and start again next month by upping the letrozole dosage a bit. I am trying to stay positive, but am having a hard time. If we could just get all the dosage figured out and could accomplish an O, I would chill the eff out. Until then, I'm slightly worried that I may never O.
and the most expensive thing I've bough for myself is my Kitchenaid mixer.

Thanks @meli123k I hope your TWW goes by fast! I have such hope for you ladies doing IUI's!
@SoonToBeMommaHowe Nice work going to the gym regularly! I've never been good at exercising regularly, so I have so much respect for people with the self control to keep up with it. Great job!!
@Ducks&Cats I do the same thing! We painted the spare room/nursery when we moved into this apartment 2 years ago (teal & grey), and I started a registry a year ago when we started trying. Every month, around 3dpo I feel optimistic and I look at my registry, or buy a new children's book, or rearrange the "spare room". Then when the BFNs start rolling in on 10-14dpo, I close the door to that room leave it closed for a few weeks so I don't have to look at it. How's your sister doing?
@Samanthaarielxo I'm sorry things are hard right now; it makes sense that you feel frustrated, and it's ok to not be happy for your friend for a time, we've all felt that way. It's so easy to fall into the trap of blaming ourselves, when in reality it is entirely no ones "fault". Thinking of you.
@clt2pwm11 FX that those follicles just need a few more days to develop I love my KitchenAid mixer too, best kitchen investment; my mom's has been going strong for almost 30 years!

Thank to everyone for asking about my sister. She is more or less stable. Still sedated and in the ICU. There is hope that they can start waking her up soon and she can start her recovery. I don't know if I mentioned but she has heart failure. Its been 5 weeks to the day that she has been sedated. I've adjusted much better, I realized I had to give up control and realized things will happen as they happen. The first three weeks were very rough, I am just focusing on relaxing and saving my energy because I know that she will need my support more when she is awake.
@Samanthaarielxo its ok not to feel happy for your friend. I have been there. I find that if I allow myself to experience the negative emotions I eventually get over it. Its just this natural process that needs to happen.
@ReesaAnne16 We haven't told anyone we are ttc but its so obvious that I just painted a baby room!

@ReesaAnne16 I saw a lot of women take it on these boards even before my first IUI. I was not prescribed it at first until I brought it up. My RE said it wasn't necessary and they generally don't give to those on clomid and because how messy and bothersome it is to most they did not want to add that to my meds. They prescribed it to me anyway and said it can't hurt but you probably don't NEED it (I'm 28 they say due to my age) just will be another med and it's the least favorite of all meds patients say. And they were right lol it's messy no fun but if it can help sustain a pregnancy then I'm all for it. It just gives me peace of mind every cycle that I'm doing all I can

@MandyBeeSLP I'm sorry about your insurance Unfortunately, it is uncommon to have infertility coverage. Is there any option to switch insurance before you get officially diagnosed? If that's not an option, then usually some initial testing can be done through your OB or PCP, and coded as something related to women's health, like irregular cycles or something to that degree. Good luck.

All of my blood work and tests were diagnostic through my obgyn. I am not officially diagnosed with infertility, if I was than my insurance would not cover any of my tests. My doc understands this and uses billing codes for my lack of ovulation. Your first visit with a obgyn should be covered with your insurance as a consult. I don't think an obgyn would diagnose you with infertility anyway, they would probably refer to a specialist for that.

@ReesaAnne16 My insurance is paid through my employer (public school) so no changing. I'll look into my husband's insurance and if they have coverage I may opt into his as well during open enrollment in November. But if what you and @harleyquinn0621 say is right and it's the exception rather than the rule it may not make a difference.
@Ducks&Cats Thanks, that's great info. I'll probably still make the appointment with my PCP for now and discuss the lack of coverage with her and hopefully she can code some of it differently so it's covered.
Edited to add: I made my appointment. August 9th is the earliest she can see me. But it's done. Phew.

well, it looks like AF might be arriving earlier than expected, I started spotting today, which is unusual
In better news, speaking with my friend was very helpful. They knew going into TTC that they would have to do IVF, so her situation was different than ours. She recommended going ahead with iui or ivf as soon as possible, because the waiting and wondering is the worst part, and at least with these procedures you're moving forward. I liked this perspective, since so many of my family members have been surprised that we were considering these treatments "so soon" and suggesting we keep trying on our own. They've been making me feel ashamed of trying to get help, so it was such a relief to hear a friend say "No, you should do it! and get started soon!"

@reesaAnne16 I also POAS yesterday at 10DPO and got a BFN. This is my first cycle in almost 3 years that I was hopefully and excited to test. I skipped today but will probably test again tomorrow.
@Ducks&Cats while it sounds like it is far from over, I'm glad you and your family have some light at the end regarding your sister. I'm also glad that you are able to be around and help her when they start to wake her up and she starts the healing process. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts!
I also hope that this is your month!!
@Samanthaarielxo TTTC can be a real strain on a relationship. Especially if one partner is more involved than the other. I do a whole lot more research and reading than my DH but I find it best when we openly communicate everything and when frustrations do come up we talk about it.
@clt2pwm11 FX your follie is big enough! Also my kitchenaid is my favourite! I got mine as a shower gift from my Gramma.
@MandyBeeSLP my work benefits cover absolutely nothing fertility wise. But my provincial health care covers all testing and doctor visits. We have to pay for meds out of pocket as well as any sperm related items it looks like. (i.e. the sperm wash for the IUI but the IUI it self is covered.)
@hoffmanr7 Hope the meeting with the new GYN goes well!
I'm 11DPO and tested yesterday to get a BFN. We go for blood work on Sunday to confirm either way. Is it rude that I don't want to go to that? I'd rather just be at home with my DH when I find out we again aren't KU. Next cycle, hopefully if my body isn't in overdrive again, we will start gonal-f and do an IUI.
QOTW: What is the most expensive thing you've ever bought just for yourself?
I would have to say my car. Although we got caught up in that whole VW scandal so really it's worthless now. I married an accountant so my entire life is budgeted and I don't really get the chance to frivolously spend 'our' money. I'm sure I'll appreciate it one day.
@ReesaAnne16 sorry AF is early - sounds like we're in the same boat with random spotting first. Boo.
@MandyBeeSLP the insurance thing is a drag. ALL of my blood work through my GP was covered. As soon as the RE slapped a diagnosis on it, nothing. Hope you have better luck
@Plainjanie not rude at all! FX still crossed for you, though!
My update: Day 1 of AF. Had high hopes this time around, too. Question for the group: We'll be on vacation next FW, so an IUI is out. Worth asking to continue on Letrozole and just Do our thing? Also, on the meds (2 cycles now) I've gotten AF on day 13 after trigger shot. Is that a normal LP phase length? Thanks in advance!
ETA QOTW: i spend money on vacations and grad school. Most expensive actual purchase - either DSLR or laptop
@Plainjanie not horrible at all. I felt the same way one time too. It's just so emotionally exhausting. I've thought about asking my nurse to email me the results so I can look at in my time instead of the random phone call I always feel compelled to answer.

Hey guys, I just finished my first cycle on Clomid -- AF showed up today. Not really surprised or disappointed since it is right on schedule with the day I thought I ovulated! First ovulation in goodness knows how long so I'm happy with it!
I did make the decision to make an appointment with a fertility doctor, it made me a little sad, like I'm finally admitting the struggle I guess. Also have my first appointment with the chiropractor Monday! I will go ahead and take the Clomid again (50mg, 3-7) since our appt with the RE isn't for a few weeks. Hopefully I'll get good news before then!

2. What is your diagnosis? It's been a long journey, our first diagnosis was an issue with my husband, found to have a pituitary tumor which in turn led to low testosterone and no sperm at all. Almost at the same time that we corrected his issue, I stopped ovulating. They are thinking PCOS at this point. And a recent hsg showed one possible blocked tube
3. What is your current treatment plan Starting clomid and Ovidrel
@Ducks&Cats I hope you continue to get encouraging news that your sister can be woken up and begin recovery!
@ReesaAnne16 Sorry to hear about AF I'm glad you had a good visit with your friend though, and that she was able to help you feel better about seeking treatment. I felt very hesitant at first about giving IUI a try but I'm glad now that we are moving forward with the treatments.

Thank you all for the support. I got my BFP last week. I have had 2 betas and will be going in for my third this Friday. Baby dust to all!

Definitely a car.
Congratulations @jdw0325!!!!
Hopefully my future baby will be worth all this $$$$$ as well
No Folic acid/pharmaceuticals/supplements (too many to list- private message me if interested), IVIL infusion
I'm feeling a little down about this TWW...
Tested BFN yesterday (10dpo) and I've been having very mild cramping for a week. I will probably test again tomorrow.. just because I can't help myself.
*TW - CP & other people's babies*
When I had the CP last cycle, my symptoms were actually a little different than usual, I WASN'T having the pre-AF cramping that I normally do, and 1-2 days before(12-14dpo), my breasts were tender, which is never a pms symptom for me.

@JDW0325 Glad to hear all is going well! Best of luck to you in this new chapter
@zigzag8412 I hope you feel better soon! I have been moody on and off since my IUI, definitely putting the blame on all the hormones. You should definitely treat yourself and go get a soft pretzel
@sarah0985 Where are you traveling? I hope you have a great time!
@lablover78 It's so hard seeing bellies everywhere, I think I notice them a lot more now than I used to! I had my annual recently but my gyn doesn't do ob, which I was thankful for in that moment.
ReesaAnne16 Sorry to hear you are feeling down about this cycle, I tend to start feeling discouraged too around 10dpo. That's great you are able to talk with someone who's also gone through this journey, I have a couple friends who are either going through it or have had to deal with it in the past, and it's always comforting to be able to talk face to face with someone who knows what it's like. I hope talking with her helps lift your spirits!
@harleyquinn0621 Good luck on your first IUI! I didn't have any real symptoms post-IUI, but I think it's different for everyone. I've heard some people can have cramping or bloating so it sounds normal.
QOTW: Would have to go with car as well.

@ReesaAnne16 I'm sorry you're not feeling very optimistic. Sending hugs your way! That's also awesome about your friend. I always find encouraging when I know some IRL that IVF worked for.

Third cycle Clomid 6/29/16 O'd CD 16 BFP @11dpo!

@lablover78 I really have to mentally prepare for my OB visits, seeing all the bellies is hard...
FX for you this cycle @harleyquinn0621 !!
Thanks @Starlight811 good luck this cycle! How did your doctor decide you need progesterone supplementation? I've been thinking about this a lot lately and wondering if it's playing a role in our situation.
Thanks @meli123k I hope your TWW goes by fast! I have such hope for you ladies doing IUI's!
FX for your RE visit this Friday @Worldtravler0522

@harleyquinn0621 fx that this iui does the trick!
As for me, 9dpo, BFN, but my temps stayed elevated. Last cycle 9 days was when my temps dropped and I started AF spotting so this is a good.

I'm sorry about your insurance Unfortunately, it is uncommon to have infertility coverage. Is there any option to switch insurance before you get officially diagnosed? If that's not an option, then usually some initial testing can be done through your OB or PCP, and coded as something related to women's health, like irregular cycles or something to that degree.
Good luck.

Phew.

My week is uneventful. AF has come and gone and I am getting close to my fertile window. First meeting with the new GYN on Monday....finally.
The most expensive thing I have ever bought for myself would be grad school.

@JDW0325 Congratulations!!
@lablover78 My chocolate can get pretty expensive too! But he is worth every penny!
@harleyquinn0621 FX for your TWW. I hope it goes by quickly!
@reesaAnne16 I also POAS yesterday at 10DPO and got a BFN. This is my first cycle in almost 3 years that I was hopefully and excited to test. I skipped today but will probably test again tomorrow.
@starlight811 FX for your TWW. May it be quick!
@ZigZag8412 It's hard to not let other people get you down. But I'm the same. A person has to make one dumb decision and I'm angry.
@worldtravler0522 I'm glad you are able to start stims!
Me: 30 DH: 33

May / June 2016- Monitored cycle and TI- BFN
June / July 2016- Gonal-F + IUI #1- BFN
August 2016- Gonal-F + IUI #2-
@MandyBeeSLP the insurance thing is a drag.

If AF is coming 13 days after trigger, then that's 11-12 dpo? That's a normal LP.

3 Losses, 8/16 11/16 and 6/2017
1. How long have you been TTC? 2 and a half years
3. What is your current treatment plan
Starting clomid and Ovidrel
TTC since 02/2014
IUI #1 9/14/19 BFN
IUI #2 10/13/16 BFP
No Folic acid/pharmaceuticals/supplements (too many to list- private message me if interested), IVIL infusion
@ReesaAnne16 Sorry to hear about AF I'm glad you had a good visit with your friend though, and that she was able to help you feel better about seeking treatment. I felt very hesitant at first about giving IUI a try but I'm glad now that we are moving forward with the treatments.
Edited because comment got cut off.
