Anyone else shoving pills up their va-jayjay

My estrogen & progesterone levels were a little low, so my RE put me on an estrogen patch and a lovely progesterone suppository.  I know its for the best and all, but all this chalky discharge is really not pleasant.

I am on pins and needles until are validation u/s on the 30th.

  • Lol!
    Sorry.
They wont give you progesterone in pill form?

  • I take estrogen pills. (6 a day) I take progesterone injections daily. I have a couple days worth of suppositories if the injection sites get to sore but my doctor much prefers shots. (It's for ivf)

    It sucks.

My RE's office prefers suppository or shots.

  • blush64  I was hoping I wouldn't get the shots. My friend is going through IVF and she hates being a pincushion.

  • I do both shots and suppositories!

5 things a day into my vagina and then a shot in my butt.    IM SO GOOPY

  • Progesterone once a day at night.  I tried all different forms that are vaginal and ended up staying on the least goopy one.  Crinone was like cheese curds and endometrium was a joke on how quickly it dissolved and dripped out.  Ended up doing prometrium oral used vaginally.  Of the joys huh, glad to not be a pincushion though

I've noticed my temp has been 99.02- 99.20

what do you call a mild fever?

  • According to H 99 is still normal.
    100 is low grade fever.

  • I've been on Progesterone suppositories. I am so hating the goopy crotch feeling. I cannot wait until the first trimester is over and I am done.

  • Progesterone twice per day.  Absolutely sucks.  I have the pill form left over from previous cycles and once I run out of my vaginal suppositories, I'm switching to the oral pills.  However, I consider myself lucky to be stuck with the vag suppositories rather than the progesterone in oil after my IVF cycle!  That stuff sucks!

  • I am so glad I am not alone! At 5 weeks my progesterone levels were a little low according to my blood work so I was put on the vaginal suppositories. It is super awkward and weird. My doc said I could stop at 10 weeks and I'm 7.5 now. I have to...insert them...(I guess that is more accurate than take but still weird!) twice a day and then lay down for 30 mins. It helps with the chalky discharge but it's super inconvenient since they have be inserted as close to 12 hours apart as possible.

Progesterone is the hormone that causes the detectable temp shift that people follow post ovulation for BBT chatting.  So yes it can raise you temp a little(like 0.5 of a degree).  And I don't believe in the term low grade fever- either you have one or you don't.  And technically a fever is 100.4 or more but in adults some people may use even higher.  I wanted to make sure I could answer your question properly.  To some people a low grade fever is 101 and to others it is lower.  Hope this helps

  • I'm on the PIO shots every night.  That huge needle is a huge pain in my rear!  ;) My RE prefers these over the vajayjay pills.  I don't know how you ladies do it!  I'd feel so squishy all day.
i know it'll allllllll be worth it when I get to see a heartbeat tomorrow.  This baby better appreciate the 100's of needles and surgeries and worriesome days (and the $thousands$ of dollars, lol) I had to endure.   Haha. I know they won't but it'll be the thought that counts!
  • I'm on both suppositories and oral Progesterone. I despise the vag pills with a passion!!! Ugh!

It sure does suck!  I had an IUI and have been taken progesterone suppositories ever since.  My RE says I need to take them till I'm 10 weeks.  I'm currently @ week 7.  This may be TMI but it does put a crimp in our love life since I don't feel clean or fresh because of it.
