i've read about the nub theory, but didn't have the actual good ultrasound photo of those parts to really do the investigation in the end, I resigned myself to knowing i'll know in 4 weeks or so!
There's a website with a forum dedicated to nub theory guessing, even with nubs that ended up being confirmed girls or boys. I think it's called ingender.com? You'd have to google it. My guess is girl because of it being parallel to the spine and forked at the end, but nub theory isn't always right as boys can have the fork too. It's fun to guess but I wouldn't start painting the nursery just yet.
Also, only reason I made a guess is because this nub is so clearly defined. Way too many people ask for a *guess* when you can't even tell what's a nub and what's an umbilical cord/foot/anything else.
Most people will be snarky about trying to make a guess on gender, so that's why I recommend taking it to the other forum I posted. It's really not our fault, the snark just runs in our veins. Don't take it personally.
Snark, @ashleaf2018 ?! Why no! I'm just an active board member trying to help with my ignorant knowledge of nubs and their theories. ...yea maybe I'm feeling kind of snarkalicious today too.
I figure the nub theory is just another "fun" way to pass the time Don't count on its accuracy but its cool to see if it was "correct" for you too! I don't put more stock in it than any old myth either, like chinese gender charts If I was guessing for fun I would guess girl.
Haha the snark is strong with this one:) As mentioned in a previous post check out ingender.com. It is much more guess friendly and has several ultrasound techs that can give you a professional opinion as well.
@kpolinko89 With this being your first ever post anywhere on this board, there not even being a visible nub, and all your personal info being posted- please take this to ingender.com. That community might suit you better.
Re: anyone familiar with the nub theory ?
