Re: TW Tuesday 6/21

  • Yes @LadyFleck! I'm having the same problem. She comes into my office all the time asking if there's anything I need her to do. I've given her a list that's six pages long so... can't she just figure it out on her own?! I love her and everything but I'm just not feeling any of this right now.

  • Constipation is my TW...actually things have been pretty loose down there for the past couple of weeks, then this morning out of the blue, I felt like I was giving birth in the bathroom. So glad no one walked into the bathroom while I was in there though!

  • I'm a TW for leaving my wedding band on 24/7. I was having zero swelling so I thought it was NBD.  Now, yesterday, in a matter of hours I went from little to no swelling to having massively swollen feet and hands that won't go away.  Now I can't slide my wedding band over my knuckle!  :'(

Sudden swelling is a red flag. Might want to call your nurse line.

  • @kellz14 I agree with what @HenchBytch said: definitely call about that. But hopefully it's nothing and the same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. Ever since, I've been wearing my wedding ring on my pinky.

  • @HenchBytch @joleri23 Interesting - Thank you for the tip!
  • @Jodi1980 glad you and baby are ok!!! I'm also guilty of changing my music or making calls.

  • @LadyFleck @joleri23 I'm dealing with the same thing right now. There is a very enthusiastic med student rotating in our lab this summer to learn research and she wants to follow me (and others) and observe every little task we do, while constantly asking questions. I'm just trying to get done what I need to get before I leave and sometimes I wish I could just do my experiment and not have to go slow and explain everything I'm doing.

@Jodi1980 That sucks about your accident! I always get on my DH when he tries to even read a text while he's driving. Luckily, he knows he'll get the side eye from me and has really cut down. At least he doesn't actually text and drive anymore (maybe occasionally at a stop light though)

  • @Jodi1980 so glad you are ok! I was rear ended in college by a guy who was texting, too. Ever since then, my phone stays in my zipped up purse pocket!

Acid reflux sucks. The last couple days I haven't been able to finish my coffee because it hurts too badly. I think today was my last cup for the rest of the week :( So glad it's almost over!
  • @jodi1980 I'm so glad you're ok! Hopefully he learns his lesson!

  • @Jodi1980 oh man. Glad you guys are okay. And the car too. That would suck to deal with right now.. I'm guilty looking down at my phone screen when a notification goes. I need to just keep it in my purse- nothing is worth the possibility of hurting someone.
  • My carpel tunnel is my twat. I woke up in the middle of the night with my wrists throbbing. I had to sleep with my wrist brace and now I want another brace for my other hand. That along with the achy hips is making sleep almost impossible. Hot mess! I know it's almost over but can the aches and pains ease up just a little? Please?!

I like to believe in the old wives tale saying that means baby will have lots of hair. At least that's what I'm telling myself. I had it horrible with my daughter and within a month of my daughters birth, she had a ponytail. That's scientific enough for me  :p
  • @Jodi1980 I'm so sorry you were rear-ended!! I'm glad you're ok! Did your doctor have you come in for fetal monitoring? I ask because I was mildly reprimanded after my low-impact wreck for not calling/getting monitored. Apparently, there can be concern about danger to the placenta/baby in the first 24 hours after impact that doesn't show any symptoms.  You may well have already checked, but I thought I'd pass that on just in case, like me, you didn't realize it was a concern!
  • @Jodi1980 I'm so glad that you and the baby are ok. That must have been scary. Hopefully the driver learned a valuable lesson from this incident and leaves the phone alone from now on while driving.
  • Pregnancy, over it.
    Same
  • Work is yet again the TW. I was just informed that my industrial piercing is against the rules. I've worked here for 2.5 years. Ummm... fuming a little bit, especially considering I already have to cover my tattoos. I'm really reaching the point where I'm over this damn place!!!

I had the same issue w my DD and she came out with a full head of hair. I'm anxious to see if #2 will be the same!

Has it been visable this whole time? If so that's ridiculous.
  • BH are the perpetual TW. I'm so done.
  • @lucy2113 Yes, it's always been visible. I never knew I had to hide it!

Work is a TW. I set up science experiments at a high school, and the senior chem kids just did an experiment that produces a s**t ton of smelly gas. I don't what it is, but I am so light headed I'm worried I'm going to faint. I'm just sitting here like please go away gas.

Would you believe I had the growth anatomy scan right before this happened?! I didn't think to call assuming I am okay and still feel LO moving around. Good call however! I'm due to go in again for my routine check up Monday but I will give a call & see what they say. Thanks for the heads up and glad you are okay as well after your mishap  ;)

  • @Jodi1980 that was my thought too! I could have sworn I didn't need to call for it. Oh well...it meant I got to listen to my little girl's heartbeat and movement for an extra 20 minutes, and I'm not one to complain about that.
