It's been a good weekend! I have purged, cleaned & organized and I'm finally starting to feel like there's a light at the end of the tunnel and maybe, just maybe I'll get everything done that I need to before Baby gets here. Got to spend the day with my H, my sister & my almost 80 year old dad. Cooked lunch & just had a great day just visiting & hanging out with those I love.

I've been having a lot of heart palpitations (which I've read is normal but still worries me), so I wanted to do a bp check.   I did a check today at Walmart and was 100/72.  Happy to know nothing is off there.  Also we did a lot of window shopping a Buy, Buy Baby and Babies R Us.  I want a Halo Bassinet and Mamaroo but thankfully still have several pay days before October to get those big ticket items.

My sister and my husband painted 3 of the 4 nursery walls this weekend, and I love that we're finally getting started in there.

My sister in law and my brother found out the gender of their baby. They're having a girl! Why am I extra excited? Cause I have 2 years worth of girl clothes, girl gear and everything pink that my kids don't need anymore in the back of my Yukon to go to her house tomorrow! I don't have to try and sell it or donate it. Plus this was a mega shock for them, and they will greatly appreciate any and all help they can get. Win win for everyone! My storage room feels awesome now!

We finished painting the nursery this weekend. My mom bought us a car seat off our registry that was delivered Friday, and my dad bought us the glider so that'll come sometime this week. I'm glad to see everything start to come together, I'm usually such a procrastinator so typically this would get done just days before baby arrives. 

Also, I have a meeting today with the head graphic designer and HR to discuss an opening in our marketing department. I'm REALLY hoping it goes well because that's what one of my degrees is in and I would really like to actually use the schooling I paid for. Not to mention they have an awesome team and it would be a blast to work with them.

Despite spending gorgeous Saturday indoors...finished my changing table renovation for baby's room AND tackled re-doing our bar area, which I was determined to do before baby arrived, because I KNOW it will never get done after! Re-painted the bar, changed the hardware, have liquor shelves arriving this week to make it all nice and neat inside the bar... Plus, I organized half of the back pantry (another pre-baby project on the list), and just plain gave the house a good scrubbing, including washing the couch cushion and pillow covers.  Is this nesting?   Feels great to check so much off my list...but man, does my back hurt today!

We got a lot of work done yesterday, which was baby-related.  We went through clothes and blankets given by friends and got rid of those we don't want/won't use.... we also grouped baby clothes into:  Newborn - 3, 3-6, 6 - 9 and 9 beyond.... then stored them neatly in the attic (except the newborn and 0-3 ones).

And SO set up the crib!!!!

My friend and colleague just defended her PhD and the rest of the PhD students, post-docs, our professor, AND her entire thesis committee put together a film of 8 songs about her PhD including dance numbers. We all ordered Pizza and watched it together and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. And she LOVED it. She kept alternating between falling out of her chair laughing and happy crying. 

I have the best department ever.

DH's BFF is throwing him a guy's diaper and beer party. I think it's hilarious yet adorable and I think the guys will have fun with it. Though I kind of hope those guys without kids are able to figure out how to buy diapers
