  • Having a lot of nasty sinus issues this week. Anything that works for you ladies?
  • @britt428 the only that's helped clear my sinus over a few days is lots of Emergen-C and hot showers. But if you're near an ocean, that always works for me too! I don't take any OC meds so I'm afraid I can't be of too much help.

  • @Britt428 I've been using Flonase for the past month or so, it takes a few days to work, but works better for me than anything else I've found. Hope you're feeling better soon!

@SandNStarsNJ I haven't read up on emergen-c lately, but I know Airborne notes not to take when pregnant.  Just an FYI.

There are plain saline sprays that don't have medication that work like the ocean, but without the fun.

Edit: TBD ate the end of the post.

    Nov16 Siggy Challenge:

  • @Britt428 I used to get really bad sinus infections before DD. When I was pregnant with her, I knew I didn't want to deal with them, so at the first sign I started using a neti pot. Using it a few times a day cleared everything up and for the first time, it didn't turn into a full blown out infection. I've since switched to the squeeze bottle type, which works a lot better. Seriously though, no infections and a lot less issues when I start using it at the first signs.
  • I feel like crap. I'm 17+6 and my second trimester is worse than my first. They lied to me! Lol
  • Thanks ladies! Definitely going to try some of these ideas. Just when I thought I was finished with the throwing up in the mornings, I'm back at it due to all this drainage. Yuck!
  • Try a humidifier in your room at night. It acts like a hot shower all night.

Bonus if you get a cool mist one, it's one of the best/only things you can do to help a congested baby. Crane makes cute ones in animal shapes (we have the owl).
  • Nausea returned yesterday. WTF. But today has been better, although I'm still lacking energy.
  • Tailbone pain!  :s help.... anyone?
