Week: 19

What's new with baby (size, development)? She's a mango.

What's something new you're doing to get ready for baby? Nothing yet.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I'm feeling quite a bit better, but still very tired. And baby brain is real.

When is your next appointment? Anatomy scan on Thursday.

GTKY: How did you meet your significant other? He is two years younger than me, and remembers following me around the playground at elementary school. The first time I recall meeting him was when I was in Grade 11 and he was in Grade 9. I had struck up a friendship with his step-brother, and the two of them came up to me in the school hallway to chat about something or other. We all started hanging out in a group, step-brother bailed on us as per demands of his then GF, and left me and future husband to our own devices. We became very close, and the rest is history.

Week: 20! Half way, baby!

What's new with baby (size, development)? We found out that this baby is a sweet little girl and she has all the right parts and pieces I work with babies with congenital heart defects, so I was especially thankful to see 4 perfect chambers!

What's something new you're doing to get ready for baby? I've been collecting some little things I don't have from last time. I got some gently used Life Factory bottles for $15 - those suckers are that much a piece! 

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I'm throwing up again! I thought I was passed this, but the other day I threw up so hard I peed my pants, but I didn't realize I had pee'd until I felt it dripping down my leg. Thankfully I was at home and hopped right in the shower! 

When is your next appointment? A couple of weeks I think. I'm still monthly at this point 

GTKY: How did you meet your significant other? We met on match.com. Match sent my DH a hubby an email saying to check this girl out, and he did and we ended up emailing as friends for 5 months (I was studying abroad in England). We finally met when I came home and the rest is history!

Week: 19

What's new with baby (size, development)? mango

What's something new you're doing to get ready for baby? kinda trying to take a chill pill but I've mentally designed/rearranged the nursery this week. Can't wait to try out my plan.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: he seems to be up by my belly button which has resulted in my belly "popping" excited to finally start to look the part. I keep having days of great energy boost and I do a million things and then for the next 3 days I pay for it with exhaustion. 

When is your next appointment? June 27 for the anatomy scan.

GTKY: How did you meet your significant other? my freshman year. He was part of a fraternity with the geekiest guys who were so sweet. the joke is that we were dating all of freshman year (hanging out everyday and getting dinners together) but I refused to admit it until July. He held strong in the "friend zone" for 8 months but here we are 11 years later.

GTKY: How did you meet your significant other? He was a friend of a regular customer  I had at work.

I feel like I haven't been on in forever! My mom came down to visit over the weekend so I'm just now finally not as busy. 

Week: 18w2d as of today

What's new with baby (size, development)? Sweet pea is the size of a sweet potato! Or a sugar glider if you're into cute animals.

What's something new you're doing to get ready for baby? I really don't know if we'll be doing anything this week. My mom bought us a couple cute outfits for our little guy yesterday before she had to go to the airport. We did our gender reveal on Saturday.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: The same as usual. I've had pretty much the same symptoms since week 14, the only difference being kicks getting stronger. Sometimes he's sitting low enough that it feels like I swallowed a fish bowl, and these random belly button pains are super annoying. I was using my doppler last night, and I heard a kick on it, and at the same time I felt the kick run down the length of my stomach under my belly button. It felt so weird but awesome.

When is your next appointment? July 15th for my anatomy scan. It's a bit later than most, but I just had my last OB checkup and my appointments are right about a month apart.

GTKY: How did you meet your significant other? Through a mutual friend. Not a typical situation, though. I was in my home state of Iowa at the time, and my now husband and best friend are from here in Florida. We all talked on Skype, I came down to visit during my winter break my sophomore year of college, and six months later I moved across the country. And now here we are.

Week: 20w2d!  Finally more behind me that in front of me!!!

What's new with baby (size, development)? As big as a mango!  

What's something new you're doing to get ready for baby? Trying to find newborn photographers, registry, and thinking about daycare places

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Only rant I have is headaches, my mother continually trying to touch my stomach (I've told her 4 times to stop to which her response is "I'm your mother" - no idea why that would carry weight, I barely let my SO touch my stomach (super self conscious because of weight, etc.))

When is your next appointment? July 8

GTKY: How did you meet your significant other? We worked for the same company for a little bit - I thought he hated me.....two years later, NOPE!

Week: 17w2d today

What's new with baby (size, development)? Baby is the size of a pomegranate!

What's something new you're doing to get ready for baby? Close to done with my registry, we got a rug for the nursery and ordered a crib, and now we are car shopping to replace DH's old 2-door.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Headaches are my big 2nd tri symptom.  And I am excited to start feeling the baby move soon (hopefully!)
