I've seen others post about the dreamfeed and I want to give it a try! LO has been sleeping 4-5 hours for his longest stretch but usually going to bed around 8 or 9 so I am missing out on at least a couple of hours of sleep. I've read to do the dreamfeed around 10 or 11 but I'm scared that I'll wake LO and be up with him for an hour or more and regret trying. Any pointers from those of you who dreamfeed successfully?
Re: dreamfeeding
i think what helped was I didn't talk or turn the lights on and I made sure my breast was ready before I picked him up so he could just go for it. When he came off I left him laying there for about 5 minutes then out him back down, I didn't try to burp him.
or 4 and then we eliminate one MOTN feeding session. I'm nervous that he will fully wake up though and it will be a hassle to get him back to bed or that this ^ will happen and I'll just be adding another feeding.
ETA- of course I will not get to repeat this experiment tonight because the NBA playoffs are ruining my life
laugh but it works.
