Long story short my original OB didn't believe me when i was pregnant back in the beginning of May, so he ordered blood work. It came out positive so then he went and ordered an outpatient ultrasound for the diagnosis of AMENORRHEA (which is the absence of menstruation). By the time that was done on June 2. When I went to the OB because now he actually believes that I am pregnant I went and the office girls pretended that I was a new patient (he delivered my second daughter) They all treated me like crap and let like 5 people in front of me stating that my chart wasn't ready because I was a new patient. LIKE HELLO I was there 3 weeks prior.
So I found myself an OB after calling like 10 I found one that will take me and my appt isn't until June 23.
So I am beyond frustrated.
I just feel like skipping all the prenatal appts and just showing up to the hospital when my water breaks and take who ever is on call.
Re: Still haven't had my first prenatal visit
It looks like you found out way back in March right? Have you been going through all of this since then? I think I would have started searching for a new OB immediately after he ordered the ultrasound for something other than checking on baby. But either way, it can be hard to find someone to see you right away. Maybe make a few phone calls around to at least get in to see someone. I mean, it seems like there's been a couple of months where nothing happened and I think I would have been calling every doc in the yellow pages in that time. Something seem off about this???
Hope you like the new one - fwiw if you need to find another one, there are also specialists and they are generally better about seeing patients sooner (we've been seeing high risk specialists and geneticists in addition to a regular OB's so that meant lots of visits for us). At least you have experience from previous pregnancies, so I'm sure you know about prenatals and symptoms to watch out for etc.
Do you like your hospital? That could be important too. We had 3 delivery places around us, and we chose the one that we felt most comfortable with - they offered a tour - so if you have an option, make sure you like the way they treat their patients in labor.
And blood work shouldn't take that long?
Anyway it's really important to be with someone that you get along with (and freaking listens to you) so I'm glad you're moving on.
Edit for wow, words.

but if not, please continue to be deligent in your efforts to find an OB. Waiting till the end doesn't prove anything useful to anyone and can be detrimental to you and your child.
