Dhea and AMH levels

Last summer, my AMH level was 1.1 and FSH was around 7.8.  As you can see my history in my signature, my egg quality was thought to be an issue.  In April, I started 75 mg of DHEA, which I reduced to 50 due to acne problems, acupuncture at least once a week, and Chinese herbs from cd 1 to ovulation.  I received my lab results, and my AMH level is now 1.9!  It was performed by a different lab, but I'm hoping there isn't that much difference between the labs and that much fluctuation month to month.  I'm hopeful this is working.  
My RE had mixed feelings about DHEA.  My cycle has lengthened back to 27/28 days!

I had been on NeoQ10 and a prenatal vitamin as well as synthroid (50mcg).  (I don't recall my testosterone level, if ever tested.). My Vit D has always been on the low end of normal and came back again on the low end of normal.  I started 2000 of Vit D a week or two ago.  My total testosterone is normal (0.34).  However, my FSH is 9.8.  That concerns me, but I know this can fluctuate from month to month.  If things go as planned in September and we get to do another IVF cycle, I will let you all know how it goes. Just thought I would share the news.

That's great news! I hope it's working for you!

(Also hate to be a rain cloud, but just so you know - its fairly common for AMH to be a false double. Within a year I had 1.8, 0.8 and 1.1. The 1.8 and 0.8 were from the same general lab only a few months apart. The 1.1 was from a lab that specializes in fertility stuff per my REs request.)

Thanks for letting me know.  I asked about that, and the nurse said there shouldn't be dramatic swings but she may be wrong.  I have to have my TSH checked again in 4 weeks, so I think I'll ask if we can repeat all of these tests again.

Vitamin d deficiency can make amh low.  Also, affects egg development.  I would supplement heavily for at least 3 months.  Also, take it with a fat like peanut butter for absorption.

I also was getting low d despite supplements and Dr told me to take with fatty food.

@IBackBevo  Thanks for that tip!  I am outside a lot gardening and thought I was getting plenty of Vit D that way.  My RE doesn't seem concerned about it, but I guess she doesn't realize how much I'm outside and take a prenatal vitamin with D in it.  I'll do that.
