I'm almost 18 weeks and I told my doctor today that I have not felt the baby move. His response: "yes you have."
OK - THANKS! SUPER HELPFUL DOC.
I'm a 2nd time mom with an anterior placenta and I 100% have not felt the baby move ONCE. If I didn't have a doppler, I would have been thinking the worse for a couple of weeks now.
Anyone else?

She he said she has 3 kids and didn't feel a thing until 24 weeks. I would worry too much and when you do worry pull out the Doppler!
I haven't (I don't think, maybe a couple suspicious gurgly feelings), but then I'm only 16 weeks. It seems like you shouldn't really expect much until 20 or so and it could be even later than that.

So when he asked if I'd felt any movement on Monday's appointment (19w 1d) and I said that maybe I'd felt it once, but since it hadn't happened again, I was thinking maybe not, his answer was simply this (paraphrased): I only ask because it's fun for moms to feel it at this point in the pregnancy. From a medical perspective, I don't really care if you're feeling movement at this point... It has no bearing on the health of your baby. Within the next month I have no doubt you'll start to feel baby more and the further along you are the stronger and more consistent the movements will be. The only time I will be concerned is once you reach about 28 weeks. If at any point after this, the movements decrease or stop, come in immediately. Until that point, there's no reason to stress.

It stinks when people excitedly ask "have you felt him yet?!" Expecting me to excitedly respond with details about all the movement I've been experiencing. Instead, they get an awkward "no, not yet" or "I don't know".
@2amgoodbyes YES - so awkward!
