How about Thomas, then? Taking a last name and making it a first name doesn't always translate, especially when it's just a "real" first name just spelled differently. Unless you explain why he's named Becket and people know how it's spelled then most people would probably think that you're just spelling Beckett wrong.
Harrison was high on my list, but I can't use the nickname Harry because I know someone with the name that I just don't like (you know how that is, the vibe you get on a name because of people you know). And since nicknames just "happen" and you can't control them, we took it out of the running

I dont think adding a "t" to make it Beckett would loose the honor. But thats up to you.
