What's Next: Appointments, milestones, etc. Weekly appointment today. Nothing new going on (planned at least) until 40 week appointment
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Just hot and huge and ready to meet my baby. But I really can't complain, the finish line is in sight and I've had a pretty easy go of it third trimester compared to other ladies. Little man has been moving quite violently the last few days, maybe just getting stronger!
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? Any flower that's bright and colorful...I love marigolds and zinnias and lantana and fuschia just to name a few of my favorite ones! I was bummed about not being able to get much planting done this year because of the heat and being so large, but my mom came over when I wasn't home one day and planted all my favorites for me, which was so sweet!!

What's Next: Appointments, milestones, etc: OB check-in this morning (still at every 2 week appointments). Ultrasound in 2 weeks to check baby's position even though all signs indicate he's head down. I'm excited to get to see him again and DH will be at that appointment.
Rants/Raves/Symtoms: Sore, sore, sore! Having issues with circulation in my lower legs so I constantly am feeling like I just ran 5 marathons. Doctor wasn't concerned this morning and said it all seems normal. Told me to just take it easy and rest whenever I can. I have a chiropractor appointment tomorrow which I can't wait for as it gives me tons of relief.
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? Tulips!! Going to the tulip fields in the Netherlands is on my bucket list.
What's Next: OB appt and growth scan in two weeks! I'm a little nervous because OB said that he was measuring a little big. However, she did say he is head down and ready to go!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I am always hot and tired. Awful combination. This week add to the list- sore. Does anyone else have sore hips? I can't tell if it's from baby or just sleeping in these funky positions trying to get comfortable!
I go through bouts where I want this baby out of me ASAP to feeling sad mommy/baby connection is going to end soon. I love that I feel every single kick and every movement. I feel so connected to him and soon he's going to be out and I'm going to share him with everyone else. I guess I'm being totally greedy.
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? TULIPS!!!! When I was in high school, my student ambassador group went to the Netherlands and did a bike tour of all the tulip fields it was amazing! Sadly, tulips are deadly to cats so we never have any in the house. Someone got me blue tulips once we found out we were having a boy and the cats went ape shit over them. I had to throw them away. Still, I always prefer them over roses!
What's Next: Appointments, milestones, etc. Appt Wednesday, due date from loss was a year ago on the 11th. It's hard to think about and I didn't think about it much on the day of, just kept busy.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Everything hurts, contractions hurt, vomiting is the worst. My rant is my cousin who lives with us is having her other cousin come visit in a month and I found out via Facebook and I really don't want a houseguest when I just gave birth. I'm really upset about it and part of it is my hormones I'm sure, but it seems so unbelievably rude to me and I'm already so stressed out and I don't want some an stranger in my house when I just had a baby.
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? I love Gerber daisies, calla lilies, Hollyhock, jasmine, roses, peonies, okay basically all the flowers are my favorite.
What's next: First of the weekly appointments tomorrow. Last week's growth scan was awesome, his weight gain has been on a really steady incline the last two months and he was looking to be about 7.5 pounds last week. I can't believe how chubby his cheeks are already.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: It's been a pretty easy third trimester but this last weekend was mighty uncomfortable between a nerve he's sitting on and one unhappy stomach. I'm hoping it was just a blip and everything gets a little more comfortable, I still have nesting to do!
GTKY: I like most flowers, especially anything really colourful. I tend to get daisies the most often or wildflower bouquets
What's Next: Appointments, milestones, etc.: Next weekly check up Thursday. We are doing weekly cervical checks, and so far still closed but cervix is thinner. So we will see how this check up goes!
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: As pp have stated I'm hot, tired, and huge! My nausea comes and goes, but the end is near! I'm both very excited and sad at the same time. It's all very bittersweet.
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? I love wildflowers, all of them! But I love flowers, all of the flowers! Since we're kind of touching on Alice in Wonderland for her nursery theme, we're going to use wildflower photographs on her wall.
What's Next: Appointments, milestones, etc. - had 37w appt today, one more appt next week, then csection at 39w
Rants/Raves/Symtoms: - I think I've hit hardcore nesting. I painted all last week and have been washing all clothes and blankets, trying to get all of the finishing touches done. Just bought a cute, tiny rocking chair today because it matched the crib sheet. I wish the nesting bug would hit for me to deep clean other parts of the house, though, not just the nursery.
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? - I love daisies, gerbera daisies, and birds of paradise.
What's Next: Appointments, milestones, etc. I have 1 more biweekly appt next week then its every week! Getting close! Edited to add: Doctor has estimated that Ava already weighs about 6lbs. I also got lectured for my weight gain. Gained 47lbs and need to just slow it down some. It really is taking a toll on my body as far as my legs. They actually hurt and so do my ankles. She pointed out my swollen feet right away when she saw me and said that it was mostly related to my weight gain Thankfully that specific nurse is super sweet and doesn't make me feel like poo. Wish I could see her every time. She was very helpful, informative and genuinely concerned. Doesn't want me to have a c-section if I don't have to especially if its something we can control. Just have to lay off the ice cream There was a small trace of protein in my urine but nothing to be too alarmed about she said. Blood pressure was and has been good. Going to be keeping an eye on the babies size, come the next few appts.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Kellyj103 YES! Hot and tired constantly as well AND especially the sore painful hips! My hips hurt the most during the night while I am sleeping they almost go numb from laying on one side for two long. Also, my pelvic bone tends to feel sore to I feel it the most when I stretch and try to roll over to the other side. One thing I have been getting a lot of lately is Braxton Hicks Contractions. Belly gets super tight and she is sitting way up high. Looks kind of funny when it happens.
Had my baby shower this weekend. We had such a blast! Got lots of stuff but we are going to have to also buy a bunch ourselves. But still feeling very blessed.
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? I love Gerber Daisies or anything bright. My least favorite I would have to say are carnations though. Everything else I love!
Me: 31 & Husband: 40 Married: November 2014
M/C: 8/27/2012 - EDD: 3/22/13
BFP:11/19/15 (4 days after our 1yr wedding anniversary!)
Our rainbow baby will be here 7/27/2016 (Arrived 8/2/2016)
What's Next: Appointments, milestones, etc. I had my 36 week appointment yesterday, and an ultrasound. Showed I was very low on fluid, so I'm drinking a ton of water and they will recheck next week. I know I've been slacking on water. Baby is estimated at 6lb but only 35% percentile... he says based on her femur length and belly size she's going to be a smaller baby which is weird to me since I was big and expected big... but my husband and his family are all smaller boned people, so guess I shouldn't be surprised. Hoping my fluid is good next week.
Rants/Raves/Symtoms: Weight continues to pile on, and I'm up to a 37lb gain now. Ugh. Feeling okay, but am in Texas and it is SO FREAKING HOT I truly cannot leave my air conditioning to go outside. Heat index is like 109 right now. Hard to get comfortable in general.
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? I like gardenias a lot... they look like they're made of frosting and should be on a wedding cake. :-)

10/13/14 US #2 confirming miscarriage
10/28/14 800mg oral cytotec (very good experience)
What's Next? I just had my 34 week appointment today. Nothing exciting, just the same old. Next appointment though he is going to start checking my cervix for dilation and do the strep b test. After that its weekly. Crazy....
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: My hand has been hurting pretty bad the past couple weeks and has gotten a lot worse anytime I use it (and it being my dominant hand, I use it a lot) Doc confirmed today its carpool tunnel and should go away within a month after birth, thank goodness. also baby girl is head down and has dropped some so doc says she should be staying put in the head down position. Very happy about this!
GTKY: What if any is your favorite flower? Any and all flowers!

Fx you can keep those fluid levels up. Drink drink drink
Status Update: 13 days old (gestational age: 37w6d)
What's Next: In terms of milestones it hit me that today is exactly one year since we learned the news of our loss (3rd Thursday of June, the day before our annual office party). It helps to be holding a cute baby while processing this, but it's still painful to remember the beginning of what can only be called the "summer of hell." Even though I am on leave I am going to go to the annual office party tomorrow in order to make happier memories and associations to it. Also because it will be nice to introduce the LO to everyone.
Rant: The AC won't work upstairs. Landlord can't figure out how to fix it. Rave: The LO regained enough to be at her birthweight again, yay That was a lot of work, we are so tireddddd... (yes yes, I better get used to it!). Symptoms: My swelling disappeared completely in the span of 24hours, it's so weird (just so you all know there is hope...). I've been getting ocular migraines so that's been unpleasant but they go away with drinking water and lying down for a while. Also everyday around 4pm I cry a lot for no good reason, I think I need to take more naps.
GTKY: Hmm I have no idea what my favorite flower is... I really love the jacaranda tree that has purple flowers though, that could work...
@Serpica Lots of hugs with the anniversary. I don't think they ever are easy but it is really great you are going to make happier associations. I hope the LO continues to pack on the weight and your migraines let up
Status Update: 37 weeks What's next: Appt on Wednesday. Baby is in position and healthy so far. Rants/Raves/Symptoms: Lots of anxiety over this birth due to a difficult first birth and our loss before this baby. Had a good prayer today with a friend today and starting to feel more at peace. Lots of tears lately. GTKY: The tulip or the rose...not sure which.
