I have a sty in my eye.

I woke up this morning with a sty on my right eye. 
I wash my hands before I touch my DD no matter what, but I just want to make sure that it's not contagious and should I be worried about my DD getting one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you seen your optometrist for a proper diagnosis? Then he/she can inform you as to whether or not what you have is contagious.

As an optometrist myself, I agree with PP advice!
