How were your numbers this past week? First week and my numbers have all been good! What have you found to be some go to foods? Brown rice cakes and peanut butter! And protein bars! What foods spike your sugar that you've learned to stay away from? Grits ... It was under the carb limit but just didn't work! I had one little packet and it spiked me to 126 two hours later.
How were your numbers this past week? Pretty perfect but the nutritionist is NEVER happy. She's really starting to cramp my style
What have you found to be some go to foods? My totally safe snacks are Babybel cheeses and beef sticks like slim jims. Not the healthiest but it seems like all the healthy foods I love spike my numbers.
What foods spike your sugar that you've learned to stay away from? I'm insulin regulated (thanks placenta!) so very few things are totally off limits but fruit in yogurt is sure to drive me over the edge even if it's high protein greek.
I don't get why I can eat one thing and be good and the next time I eat it I go up to like 126! I have my appt next Tuesday so I'm hoping for more answers but in the mean time I'm tracking it!
How were your numbers this past week? They were OK. The doc put me on Metformin, but it doesn't seem to do a whole lot. My numbers are still in the upper teens usually.
What have you found to be some go to foods? For a sweet treat I usually go for Outshine no sugar added popsicles or the Outshine Veggies ones. As far as snacks go, my go to is a half of a whole wheat english muffin with low sugar PB or string cheese and a bit of fruit.
What foods spike your sugar that you've learned to stay away from? Potatoes. Every damn time.
ETA: A little cross thread action here, but in case anyone is looking for meal suggestions, I usually post GD friendly meals in the What's for Dinner thread. I know I'm always looking for ideas and suggestions.
As of now, I'm going off of the numbers I posted because my OB gave me the stuff but my GD appt at the hospital isn't until Tuesday. Does anyone have differing numbers that I should work on before the appt or are these numbers pretty much the same?
