Father's Day

What's everyone doing for their partners?  I want to do something special for DH's first fathers day, but I'm too sleep deprived to come up with any good ideas.

I did a shadow box that holds the scrubs he wore when DD was born (which also have her footprints on them), her birth announcement, her ankle band from the hospital, and a picture of him the day she was born. I'm also getting him a hammock, and tickets to see Garth Brooks (his all time favorite country music artist).

We're pretty simple when it comes to celebrations. I got a card, flowers, dinner, and a massage for mothers day, so I'm thinking of returning the favor.

I am planning on making an "I love my daddy" sign and taking a picture of g holding it and framing it for his office. Although, I framed some other g pictures for his birthday in April and those are still sitting on the coffee table and have not been brought to work, so we'll see if he even cares ab this. I just don't have any other ideas. He just buys himself whatever he wants so it's hard for me to find stuff. 

@ashleyandjody Arent you in houston? Is Garth Brooks coming back to Houston?! We went last summer and he was amazing! Would love to see him again!

I got a matching tshirt and onesie set for DH & DD. His says "Daddysaurus" and hers says "Babysaurus." They obviously have dinosaurs on them. I also got a cute daddy picture frame that has a little poem on it.

My partner is going golfing with his dad and my dad. This is the first time I've agreed he can ditch me to play 18 holes since LO was born so it's a treat! We are also making some sort of craft in baby group but I don't know what it is yet. 

The only other thing we might do is get some paint and do a handprints card from LO and her stepbrother. Or maybe those cute little feetprint hearts...

@Ljohn43 I'm in College Station, but we are moving to Carthage. He will be playing in Shreveport which is only 40 minutes away . I'm super excited to see him, and I've heard his concerts are awesome!

Planning on making a special brunch for DH. I got him a physics themed coffee mug and I'm making a framed wall art of lyrics to a song he made up that we sing to DD now.

My husband has been on a mission for the past few days so I got to go all out this year. I painted our basement family room (where his xbox is) and will be decorating it with Ohio State stuff. I also made this with the help of a teeny tiny human ❤️
