Ugh stains..help!!

So LO goes to daycare from 8 to 3 mon to friday.

Ill start off by saying shes extremely happy when i drop her off and pick her up. I have no concerns for her safety or worry that she isnt being taken care of.

I love our daycare provider and she loves LO.

That being said. When i pick up LO she is always a MESS! Now i know babies get messy but its like she wears all of her food and her clothes are so dirty from moving around the floor all day.

She never gets this way at home. But we have carpeting throughout and daycare has hardwood. Her home is never messy. So i can only imagine its grime from all the kids. Which is fine.

But i am sick and tired of trying to get embedded dirt stains out of LO clothes...ive tried everything!! Does anyone have any ideas that might work?

Ive tried dreft and a dawn/peroxide/baking soda concoction. They work great but just cant seem to get the dinginess out.

Ive decided to send her to daycare in "playclothes" so things dont cont to get ruined. But before i do i thought maaayybe someone might have a trick up their sleeves.

(I swear im not an ocd person but stained clothing is my pet peeve)

  • Putting clothes out in the sun can remove stains. It works wonders for poo stains too.

  • This stuff is liquid gold. Literally gets out any stain ... I can't tell you how many times it's saved Violet's white pants lol :joy:
  • Thanks sooo much.
Do i put anything on them before out in the sun..or literally lay the clothes out?

I think i actually have that shout stain remover somewhere!! I will be pulling it out again!

  • This is what im dealing with...

I AGREE THIS IS EVERYTHING!! Much better than the spray you need this !!!
  • Holy cow !!! That's a huuuuge mess !! Do u send her with a change of clothes ? They should take that off of her I would be a little annoyed if my LO came back from day care like that. Those stains look stubborn all the way from here
  • Yikes! I know that my wood floors desperately need mopped and my LO doesn't manage to get that dirty! You should ask how she gets that dirty every day. If nothing else because I'm sure I'm not the only one dying to know!

Also thanks for posting! The draft spray has gotten most of her stains out but sometimes I just end up giving up.
  • OxyClean spray stain remover works great!
  • No need to put anything on them, just lay them out in the sun.

YES, the Shout Advanced Gel with the brush! It's AMAZING! It gets everything out. I even got 30 year old chocolate stains from one of my easter dresses so my daughter could where my easter dress last year.

For really stubborn poop stains/dirt/red foods, I will still sometimes soak the clothes for 30min in warm water with a little Oxyclean and Detergent, and then take it out and use the Shout Advanced. I can't say enough about the product. It's been amazing. Wish they had it when my daughter was a baby.

You have to put the clothes in the sun while they are wet.  That's the key to sunning.
  • Theyre outside a lot and LO does a belly crawl. So i totally understand how she gets that way. Im definately going to try the sun and the shout gel!! Thanks for all the help!!
  • When we get bad poop stains, I use our dish soap to scrub her clothes. It is cheaper and gentler than stain remover. I use Palmolive Pure + Clear.
