Re: How much sleep are you getting?

  • Continuous? I'm often in bed for more than 8 hours but DS still wakes up MOTN most nights.

  • I've had bad middle of the night insomnia the last few weeks. This was the precursor to horrible night sweats last time, so I'm super thrilled... :(

I work in healthcare, modified 2nd shift for 10 months of the year, then a rotating schedule the other 2 months. Typically I sleep 9ish hours.

  • I lie in bed for 9 hours, but actual sleep is closer to 6-7, since I wake up around 3 or 4am and don't really get much sleep after that.
  • My little one wakes at least once ea night (usually) plus I've been fighting a cold for over a week that is seriously disrupting my sleep :-(

  • I'm definitely 9 hours. But I wake a lot during that time. Usually just for a few minutes though. Unless DH is snoring. Then I'm awake for the night.
  • I don't get much, but I'm used to it even though it stinks. Although, now that I'm pregnant again it is harder. I work 12 hour overnight shifts so there are times where I'm up for over 40 hours without more than an hour or two of sleep. Hopefully I'll be able to cut my hours after this baby is born. We will see.
  • I jinxed myself. Usually I get 6-8, last night I got 4.5 because I am so uncomfortably constipated and bloated I can't get comfortable.

  • Usually 8, with a few wake ups from the dog. If the dog lets me, I can sleep 8-11 hours on the weekends.

  • I'm normally about 8 hours a night person.  Pregnancy makes me tired.   I'm about 10 now.   But some of it is restless.

  • Thanks to my fitbit I know I average 6-8.  But pre-baby days it was over 8.  I feel like I need more than 8 to feel my best and yet here I go having another baby!

  • I try to aim for at least 8 but I keep waking up at 4 AM every morning. Ugh.
  • I usually get 6-7 hours now that my 3 year old can open her bedroom door with the childproof covers on them. She used to play in her room and read books after she woke up, which she loves doing. Now, she comes into our room and then goes back to her room and reads/plays and once I'm awake, I can't get back to sleep.
  • I get between 7 and 8 hours on weeknights, and unfortunately can't nap on weekdays (as much as I'd like to!).  On the weekends I usually nap when DS naps (so 2-3 hours per day) plus I get to sleep in til 8 or 9 on whichever day it is that DH gets up with the little guy (he usually wakes between 6 and 7 a.m.).

  • I sleep 8-9 hours (I go to bed very early; 28 going on 60) but in the last 2 or 3 weeks I wake up at least twice to pee. It's annoying, sometimes the second trip keeps me awake at like 3/4am. Hoping that doesn't turn into a habit.

  • I usually get right around 8-9 hours of sleep, and I get up to pee about twice a night. Once around 12-1am, and again around 4-5am. I'm enjoying getting this much sleep while it lasts.

  • 8-9 hours of solid, uninterrupted sleep a night. I know this won't last forever, but I'm loving it right now!
  • I put 6-8, but I've definitely been on the low side of 6 lately with the pregnancy insomnia getting worse again.

pre-pregnancy I needed 8-9 hours a night to function!  Granted I wouldn't say I'm functioning the best now...

  • My usual 6-8 hours is leaving me exhausted. Here's to an earlier bed time.
  • If I count the time I lay down 8-10 longer some days depending on the day. But around 3am I'm in and out of sleep until 7.
  • Mine recently changed..now with a UTI, I'm up 5 times a night and might get 5 hours of sleep. :(
  • I'm up to 9hrs! Interrupted by having to go to the bathroom, but it's usually a good 4/5 split roughly. This feel amazing, because I'm normally the 5hr or 6hr champion of sleep deprivation.

I get a good 9 hours most nights. Honestly I've been feeling so well rested, it's pretty amazing.
  • I can knock out 12 hours like it's nothing, but then I'm still taking half a tab of Unisom at night, and that stuff takes me out. I notice I definitely sleep lighter than usual without it and probably get more like 7.
