Weaning

Does anyone have any tips for weaning? My son turns 1 in 134 days and I CANNOT wait to be done nursing..literally counting down the days lol. So how did anyone on here that's weaned a baby before go about it?

I don't have any advice but am curious how it happens also. My almost 9 month old as been pulling away sometimes when I try to BF her but she will take paci then latch, or take bottle fine. Happens more during day, in am or Eve not so much. This has been happening the past two days. Don't know if she is signaling something or what. She still needs to BF atleast 6 times a day since she was a preemie and 5th percentile. So I don't want to wean yet but around a year will.
